  • Patent number: 6151950
Abstract: A hand crimping tool for crimping and notching of sleeve connectors, such as lead end sleeves and the like for electrical conductors has a head composed of flat part, a pressing unit arranged between the parts and composed of a relatively fixed pressing jaw and a pressing jaw which is movable relative to the fixed pressing jaw, both the pressing jaws being provided with a pressing profile, lateral cover plates which form the head and provides full-surface guiding and covering the pressing jaws, the cover plates extending approximately to a front end side of the head, at least one of the cover plates in a symmetry region of the pressing profile of the pressing jaws being provided laterally with a window-shape, forwardly open recess, the both pressing jaws in their laterally accessible regions having an acting profile with tooth tips which are removed by a predetermined value X and laterally open and accessible.

  • Patent number: 4577789
Abstract: In a device for severing endless form sets (14) provided with transverse perforations, having a tear-off arrangement (22) of two transport roller pairs (72 and 74) arranged with spacing from one another it is proposed to drive the two transport roller pairs (72 and 74) at the same transport speed until the transverse perforation next to be torn apart has arrived between the two transport roller pairs (72 and 74). Now the drive speed of the forward roller pair (74) is doubled, which results in tearing open of the transverse perforation. The individual layers of the severed set piece are separated from one another by separator strips (30) and can be conveyed each into allocated reception boxes. The tear-off length desired in each case can be inserted manually into a control apparatus or alternatively, in the case of appropriate marking of the endless form set (14) can be read off with the aid of a detector (202).

  • Patent number: 4443710
Abstract: Control and monitoring devices for influencing safety-relevant system parts in a power station, including at least two rooms being separated from each other, similar electric circuits disposed in each of the rooms for at least one of giving commands and receiving acknowledgements for influencing a system part, a power supply being disposed in each of the rooms and being completely electrically separate from each other, electro-optical converters for transmitting signals being disposed in each of the rooms, and optical waveguide cables connecting the converters to each other.

  • Patent number: 4283119
Abstract: Fiber-shaped metal-containing spacing elements having a well-defined diameter of less than 100 .mu.m for spacing two plates in an indicia display device, such as a liquid crystal cell, are produced by providing a wire composed of a metal selected from the fourth to sixth adjacent groups of the Periodic Chart of the Atoms, converting the peripheral surface layer of such wire into a brittle metallic compound and breaking-up the so-treated wire into desired size individual spacing elements. By utilizing metal wires, an exact diameter dimension can be attained and by chemical conversion of the wire surface, the produced metal wire loses its ductility and can be easily broken-up into desired size elements. Spacing elements of the invention are useful in all types of indicia display devices particularly in multiplex liquid crystal display devices.
