  • Patent number: 6689305
Abstract: A bed of particulate solids including some hydrated materials can be converted by controlled irradiation with subinfrared electromagnetic radiation into a unitary porous solid that is mechanically strong enough for easy handling. When the particulate solids include typical mildly acid to alkaline cleaner materials, a block or tablet especially suitable for automatic cleaning machinery, with a very fast dissolution rate in water, can readily be obtained.

  • Patent number: 6360917
Abstract: The invention relates to a canister comprising a first container (concentrate chamber) holding a concentrate, and a second container (solution chamber) holding a ready-to-use solution constituted by mixing a concentrate and a diluting fluid. According to the invention, the two containers of the canister are configured as chambers of the canister, connected to each other by a fluid jet pump, and can be operated from one side. Both the filling device of the concentrate chamber and the dispensing device of the chamber holding the ready-to-use solution are fitted with coded access control devices. The chambers are arranged partially above each other. The concentrate filling device and the fluid jet pump include a suction pipe and mixture outlet arranged in a canister lid.

  • Patent number: 5958862
Abstract: Transport- and storage-stable paste-form detergents based on sodium hydroxide that are easily processed and handled are obtained by thickening concentrated aqueous sodium hydroxide preparations with glycols, glycol derivatives, alkanolamines, or alkanolamine derivatives. The detergents also can contain builders and other typical detergent composition ingredients.

  • Patent number: 5288331
Abstract: A dishwashing machine includes a washing tank for receiving wash water, and a detergent from a detergent dispensing system. A separate dosing system includes a tank for storing bleach, and a pump for supplying bleach from the bleach tank to the washing tank in measured quantities at predetermined times to maintain a desired active oxygen content therein over a complete cycle of operation.
