  • Patent number: 11519391
Abstract: A wind turbine having a support structure and a method for operating a wind turbine. The support structure includes a structural component and a reinforcing element. The structural component has fastening holes provided for fastening an operating means. The wind turbine can be operated in at least two states. In an operating state, the reinforcing element is screwed to the fastening portion of the structural component by screw connections which are preloaded in a defined manner using the fastening holes. In a maintenance state, the screw connections are released and the reinforcing element is removed from the structural component of the support structure. A maintenance device can be connected to the fastening portion of the structural component using the fastening holes provided for fastening a maintenance device.

  • Publication number: 20100024865
Abstract: A continuous coating installation is disclosed. The installation includes a vacuum chamber having a supply opening for supplying a substrate to be coated and a discharge opening for discharging the coated substrate. The installation also includes a physical vapour deposition device for coating a surface of the substrate, and a laser crystallization system for simultaneously illuminating at least one sub-partial area of a currently coated partial area of the surface of the substrate with at least one laser beam. The installation further includes a transport device for transporting the substrate in a feedthrough direction from the supply opening to the discharge opening and for continuously or discontinuously moving the substrate during the coating thereof in the feedthrough direction.

  • Patent number: 6361701
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for the continuous filtration of liquids containing solid matter, in particular for cleaning wastewater, by means of a filter bed consisting of a particulate filtering medium, which is continuously moved through a vertically positioned cylindrical annular space (2) through which the liquid to be filtered continuously flows radially from the interior to the exterior. The particulate filtering medium containing the separated solid matter is continuously tapped from the lower end of the annular space (2), transported to the top, freed of the filtered solid matter and fed back into the annular space (2) at its upper end. With this kind of method and device, to be able to prevent in a better and more simple manner blockages caused by the separated floc of solid matter, the invention provides that as particulate filtering medium a particle mixture is used with a particle-size range comprising two or more particle sizes, ranging from coarse (2.5 mm) to fine (0.

  • Patent number: 5248098
Abstract: A method for removing contaminants from contaminated material such as contaminated soils and contaminated construction debris comprises the following steps: Separating the materials into a first fraction having particles of a size greater than 50 mm and a second fraction comprising remaining particles; breaking up the particles of the first fraction into particles of a size smaller than 50 mm; combining the particles of a size smaller than 50 mm and the second fraction to a combined fraction; drying the combined fraction at a temperature of between 100.degree. to 130.degree. C.; breaking up the combined fraction into particles of a size smaller than 2 mm; and subjecting the particles of a size smaller than 2 mm to a distillation process at a process temperature from between 300.degree. to 600.degree. C. Preferably, the distillation process is a vacuum distillation process with a process temperature of between 350.degree. to 450.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 5056541
Abstract: A method and apparatus for removing pollutants from contaminated soil in which the soil is first purified from coarse constituents by screening or crushing and then subjected to extraction with washing water mixed with additives, after which the soil is separated from the washing water and additionally rinsed with rinsing water whereupon the rinsing water is freed in a purification process from the pollutants extracted from the soil. The extraction with washing water, which may contain additives if required, is substantially separate from the single or mulit-stage rinsing and sorting process; a very fine fraction having a particle size up to 150 .mu.m, and preferably up to 10 .mu.m, is separated by dry or wet sorting before extraction; and the dried very fine fraction is distilled at a temperature of 300.degree. C. to a maximum of 600.degree. C., preferably distilled in vacuo at a temperature of 380.degree. C., for purification from organic pollutants and from cyanide and mercury compounds.

  • Patent number: 4908195
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for the purification of an exhaust gas which contains dust and gaseous pollutants, such as SO.sub.2, SO.sub.3, HCl, HF and nitrogen oxides. In the process 70 to 90% of the total amount of sorbent required is introduced as a dry powder into the gas stream and the remaining 10 to 30% of the sorbent is introduced into the gas stream as a solution or suspension after a turbulence has been induced in the gas stream.

  • Patent number: 4900434
Abstract: By this method, the fluid to be filtered is led through a filter bed formed of particulate filter particles, such as sand, which filter bed is retained in an upstanding annular space. The fluid is introduced to the interior part 15 of the annular space and is led transversely to the movement the filter bed, through it and away. The filter bed is provided on the inner wall of annular space with a microfilter, such as sieve grid 16, with a mesh size of 10 to 200 microns, whereby the heavy and flocculated dirt particles settling upon the microfilter are led down and away and are drawn off together with the particulate filter particles 32. To avoid stoppages of the microfilter, it is flowingly hydraulically cleaned from the inner space. Additionally, by introduction of water in the take-off space 11 there is produced a vortex bed, whereby at this space the withdrawal of the particulate filter medium is effected with a mammoth pump 17 known per se.
