  • Patent number: 8726440
Abstract: A method for determining a target rotational speed below an application rotational speed of a washing drum of a laundry treatment device having a drive and a vibrating system, wherein a dependence of a mechanical effect on items to be washed located in the washing drum on the respective nominal speed of the washing drum is used to ascertain the target rotational speed at which the mechanical effect is at the greatest. The mechanical effect at a respective target rotational speed is ascertained by measuring vibrating system movements of the vibrating system which exhibit greater frequency than the respective target rotational speed. The rotational speed at which the maximum vibrating system movement was measured is selected for carrying out the washing care procedure. The advantage of such a method is that the washing mechanics can be increased, thus improving the cleaning efficiency.

  • Patent number: 7827831
Abstract: A flush-in device is provided for a washing machine and has at least one flushable chamber open at the top. In order that, during flushing, liquid does not easily enter into an outer area of the flush-in device as a result, for example, of leakage and/or water of condensation and in order to simplify the construction of the flush-in device, especially in a sealing area and to reduce assembly expenditure, at least one annular channel at least partially surrounding the upper opening of the flushable chamber is provided and any liquid which has already penetrated into the annular channel can be led away via this channel.

  • Patent number: 7740181
Abstract: A method and a device are provided whereby a container can be continuously filled with mixed water from separate cold and hot water pipes K, W within a short time and the temperature T of the mixed water is kept as constant as possible at a predetermined value Ts during the supply process. According to the method according to the invention, the regulating process always takes place only in one direction from higher to lower temperature values. The method is implemented by a regulator 1 to 6 with separate intake pipes K and W for cold and hot water and a mechanical control element 6 which is only moved in one direction. The essential advantage of the method according to the invention is that it can be implemented very cheaply, especially a synchronous motor without reversal of the direction of rotation can be used as a drive for the control member 6. Possible perturbations in the hot water system can by intercepted to a sufficient extent by compensation which is easy to implement.

  • Publication number: 20100012206
Abstract: A control unit for household appliances which are connected to a cold and hot water supply network (K and H). Said control unit comprises a mechanical actuator which can adjust the temperature of the mixed water from both of the water networks to a predetermined value in conjunction with a thermosensor and an intelligent evaluation system and is branched to various outlet lines at the same time as the mixed water flow. The adjusting element is embodied as a rotary valve or as a piston and is only displaced in one direction by means of the drive thereof. The outlet lines, which correspond to the program sequence, are successively controlled in the direction of displacement.

  • Publication number: 20090293555
Abstract: A method and washing machine that drives a cylindrical drum body, having openings and rotatably supported about an approximately horizontal axis in a tub, in a preferred direction of rotation, and that flows a detergent-liquid mixture in a stream onto an area of an upper quandrant of the cylindrical drum at an oblique angle against the preferred direction of rotation.

  • Publication number: 20080148786
Abstract: A detergent dispensing unit containing a dispensing shell and at least one dispensing connection that permits the entry of fresh water, in addition to a siphon-type passage between the interior of the detergent dispensing unit and an opening that leads to the exterior. To prevent water vapor from escaping from the lye container of the washing machine into the interior of the housing, the siphon-type passage is positioned in the dispensing shell upstream of the opening that leads to the exterior, (an overflow), in such a way that the maximum filled level of the siphon-type passage lies below the lower edge of the overflow and that the siphon-type passage can be filled by liquid that is in the dispensing shell, in particular leaked water.

  • Patent number: 7299663
Abstract: The shaft axis of a detergent-solution pump in a washing machine is pivoted about a vertical such that, as seen in the forward direction, it forms an acute angle ? with a perpendicular center plane running from the front surface to the rear wall of the machine housing. The drain connector for the drain hose from the tub to the pump is oriented on the tub casing with an angular offset in the preferred spinning direction of rotation in relation to the vertical plane running through the drum axis. These measures give rise to better accessibility to the pump chamber and to improved pumping capacity, in particular for foam/water mixtures. The pump-out operation is shortened, and the overall height of the pump-out system can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 7225056
Abstract: In household appliances with a safety hose, the stop valve and the control valve are hydraulically connected in series. It is thus impossible, or very difficult, for the user to detect when one of the valves is operating erroneously and not closing completely. The functioning of the control valve and of the stop valve is checked each time the household appliance is used. For this purpose, the valves and are alternately opened and closed in a selected phase during operation, or are opened and closed one after the other. The change over time in the measured values is recorded and evaluated in a suitable manner at a pressure sensor and/or at a throughflow meter. On account of the multiple use of the measuring sensors that are present, the cost of implementing the method is restricted to expanding the control system software.

  • Publication number: 20070017257
Abstract: The invention relates to a washing machine in which the supplementary ventilation line is connected to an opening as high as possible on the washing tub and running to a nozzle, arranged as high as possible on the detergent flushing device, by means of an additional ventilation system which provides a ventilation to prevent an accident with a stopped machine and a closed door. The detergent introduction line runs from the detergent flushing device to an inlet nozzle, placed as far as possible from the ventilation nozzle in the upper region of the washing tub, such that no reservoirs of water can form in the line. Both lines are connected to the atmosphere by means of the flushing device. According to the invention, the ventilation system provides an adequate supply of fresh air. Noise on operation of the washing machine is adequately damped and the foam and water vapor outlet can be as good as excluded.
