Patent number: 9984783Abstract: Invention provided for efficiently transmitting energy to a target for producing an overall effective result for applications comprising power transmission and communications. Wherein, first, a source of electromagnetically intense coherent radiation and an interferometer produce a beam of electromagnetically neutralized radiation. The neutralized beam comprises forward propagating photons or forward propagating electrically charged particles which have associated forward traveling waves which superimpose and destructively interfere to an extent, and have oscillatorily time-varying electromagnetic fields which cancel to a corresponding extent. Then, second, the electromagnetically neutralized beam is coherently transmitted through transmission apparatus to a target which then, third, utilizes the transmitted beam.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 2013Date of Patent: May 29, 2018Inventor: Steven Howard Snyder

Publication number: 20130146789Abstract: Invention for efficiently transmitting energy to a target for producing an overall effective result for applications comprising power transmission and communications. Wherein, first, a source of electromagnetically intense coherent radiation and interferometric apparatus produce a beam of electromagnetically neutralized radiation. The neutralized beam comprises forward propagating photons or forward propagating electrically charged particles which comprise associated forward traveling transverse waves which superimpose and destructively interfere to an extent, and comprise associated oscillatorily time-varying electromagnetic fields which cancel to a corresponding extent. Then, second, the electromagnetically neutralized beam is coherently transmitted through transmission apparatus to a target.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 4, 2013Publication date: June 13, 2013Inventor: Steven Howard Snyder

Patent number: 8220037Abstract: A method and apparatus for centrally managing operation of browsers on client devices within an organization or other collection of users. A central server promulgates a central browser policy for application by agents executing on the client devices. The agents may operate in real-time as a browser executes (e.g., as browser extensions) and/or when the browser is inactive (e.g., as separate processes). The agents apply the central policy to block, remove or modify browser objects as required by the policy (e.g., to protect privacy), archive browser objects on the central server, create objects regulated by the organization (e.g., for browser pre-caching), etc. Because the policy is centrally customized but locally executed, it can be implemented on mobile devices even when those devices are remote from the organization.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 2006Date of Patent: July 10, 2012Assignee: Oracle International CorporationInventors: Kevin Howard Snyder, Chien-Ming Su, Samuelson Rehman

Publication number: 20110022571Abstract: A method of uninstalling all data and objects relating to a Website is disclosed. The user, upon visiting a Website, registers the site with the uninstall software according to a defined registration event. The registration process creates a Meta URL, to which all data and objects relating to the visited Website are associated. The data and objects include URLs, HTML documents, bookmarks or favorites, temporary browser objects such as embedded multimedia, browser cookies, browser history, and browser plug-ins and extensions. A configuration file, local or remote, or a user interface determines which items are removable. Multiple browsers can share the association between the data and objects relating to a Website and the Meta URL and the user can remove a browser from the shared association.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 24, 2009Publication date: January 27, 2011Inventor: Kevin Howard Snyder

Patent number: 5683514Abstract: A coating control system is provided enabling continuous operations, free of interruption for coating control purposes, while achieving desired coating weight and thickness profile for the various gages, widths and coating specifications encountered on a given continuous strip production line. In each of a pair of elongated pneumatic dies, a pressurized gas jet is controllably shaped and directed by flow-control means internally-mounted of each pneumatic die to impinge against its respective substrate coated surface with its major directional component of force being controlled to be perpendicularly transverse to the travel path of the coated strip across its full width. Adjustment of such internally-mounted means is coordinated with control of gas pressure supply and/or adjustment of die positioning means to maintain desired coating weight and coating profile across the width of the strip.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 1995Date of Patent: November 4, 1997Assignee: Weirton Steel CorporationInventors: Timothy L. Cox, John L. Loth, Anthony J. Santilli, Howard Snyder, Walter A. Wilson

Patent number: 4583213Abstract: An air shroud is disclosed for reducing vibration of the disk storage medium and controlling contamination in the environment above the disk in an optical disk data recording system. The shroud is placed over the rotating disk and pressurized air is forced into the center of the air space between the shroud and the disk where it moves from the center to the outside edge in a laminar flow. The shroud includes a circular plate with a slot for allowing the laser read/write beam to shine through the shroud and contact the surface of the disk for reading and writing data on the disk. An air duct is mounted around a center hole of the circular plate to distribute the pressurized air into the air space and a flange is mounted on the outer edge of the circular plate to reduce turbulence in the air flowing across the disk.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 1984Date of Patent: April 15, 1986Assignee: Storage Technology Partners IIInventors: Allen T.
