  • Patent number: 6571561
Abstract: A process for generating electricity in which a gas/liquid mixture is compressed in a compressor, partially purified in an accumulator/separator, partially purified in a coalescent filter, subjected to pressure regulation, and then fed to a microturbine. The microturbine produces a direct current which is used to drive a direct current motor which, in turn, drives a generator which produces alternating current.

  • Publication number: 20030073608
Abstract: A process for treating Alheimer's disease, comprising the steps of administering to a human patient an antagonist of a neurotransmitter receptor which indirectly inhibits phosporylation of microtubule-associated protein-2, and thereafter administering to said patient and anticholinesterase agent. The antagonist of the neurotransmitter binds to a neurotransmitter receptor which phosphorylates said microtubule-associated protein-2 in limbic cells, the antagonist of the neurotransmitter binds to a neurotransmitter receptor which phosphorylates microtuble-associated protein-2 in neocortical cells, and the antagonist binds to said neurotransmitter receptor in said limbic cells at least 1.5 times as much as it binds to said neurotransmitter receptor in said neocortical cells.

  • Patent number: 6266952
Abstract: A process for controlling a system for generating electricity which contains at least two compressors and two microturbines. Compressed gas from a pressure vessel is supplied to the first microturbine, and thereafter the pressure within the pressure vessel is measured. If the pressure is below a specified value, a first compressor is caused to operate to feed compressed gas to the pressure vessel. Thereafter, as the system needs require, a second compressor and, optionally, a third compressor is caused to furnish compressed gas to the pressure vessel. If the system pressure within the pressure vessel is too high, the third compressor is shut down and, if necessary, the second compressor and the first compressor are then sequentially shut down.
