A grower records the history of application to the product in a database. Upon harvesting the crop, the history is transmitted to a central server, which is accessible to the public over the Internet. The central server assigns a unique identification to the crop. A consumer can access the central server information suing the unique identifier to determine the history of the produce. Central server information also facilitates recall when necessary and enhances security by providing complete accountability for the produce.
