  • Publication number: 20090025141
Abstract: A daybed is disclosed that is convertible between a sitting configuration suitable for use, for example, as a sofa, and a lying configuration suitable for use, for example, as a bed. The daybed generally comprises a bed platform, a back panel connected to the bed platform, a mattress positioned at least partly on the bed platform, and a support member movable relative to the bed platform and back panel for use in at least partly helping convert the daybed. For example, in example embodiments the support member includes a storage container that may be positioned at least partly under the bed platform when the daybed is in the sitting configuration. And the storage container may be moved forward of the bed platform when the daybed is converted to the lying configuration so that at least part of the mattress may be also positioned on the storage container.

  • Patent number: 7444692
Abstract: A multi-angle hook fastened to an extension member, that is used to stop the extension from completely pulling out of the frame it sits in. When fully extended, the multi-angle hook allows at least three different holding positions, seen as three different angles that the extension sits at while using the multi-angle hook as its fixed point of pivot. The multi-angle hook is a metal, plastic, or wood plate bent along several parallel lines, across its width, at varying angles. An L-shaped hinge which is used to secure a side rail-less frame member to another frame member, to avoid undue stress on the side rail-less frame member. The L-shaped hinge is a metal, plastic, or wood plate which substantially conforms to a portion of a side rail-less frame member.

  • Publication number: 20070094789
Abstract: A futon frame may include a seat platform and a back platform. The seat platform and the back platform may be nested together. The seat platform may have rails between which slats extend. The back platform having rails between which slats extend. A connector may be mounted on a rail of the seat platform to couple together the seat platform and the back platform in an assembled, non-nested condition. • Publication number: 20070050599
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for determining the placement of a standard cell, representing a semiconductor component in a design stage, on an integrated circuit die. One embodiment of a method, among others, comprises analyzing regions of a semiconductor die with respect to the susceptibility of the region to be exposed to radiation. This method further comprises placing the standard cell in one of the analyzed regions of the semiconductor die, the standard cell being placed based on the sensitivity of the standard cell to radiation. The method may also comprise running an algorithm, e.g. using a component placement engine, for determining the placement of semiconductor components on an integrated circuit die.

  • Publication number: 20070032065
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for determining the placement of storage and non-storage cells or components, representing a semiconductor component in a design stage, on an integrated circuit die. In one embodiment, regions of a semiconductor die are analyzed with respect to the susceptibility of a region to be exposed to radiation and the distance between a storage component and a local clock buffer. The radiation, for instance, may be alpha particle radiation emitted from lead (Pb) isotopes in solder bumps formed on the integrated circuit die. The distance, spatial positioning and/or physical proximity of a selected local clock buffer and a storage component are preferably selected so that the skew between the storage component and the local clock buffer is about 30 picoseconds or less.

  • Publication number: 20060253814
Abstract: A method and apparatus is presented for introducing delay compensation elements into a circuit design at the top level of the circuit design. In one embodiment, failing circuit paths are identified and grouped based on buffers that can be used to compensate for the failure in the circuit path. The buffers are organized in a library where each group of buffers has equivalent design constraints with different delay factors. As such, the buffers in a group are interchangeable and may be introduced into failing circuit paths to compensate for varying levels of delay in the circuit path.

  • Publication number: 20050138637
Abstract: A rules based management system that allows a set of rules that is used to create an ancestor catalog to be inherited by a lower level organization and immediately used to create a catalog for the lower level organization. The lower level organization can tailor the catalog to meet the needs of its customers by adding one or more explicit rules to the set of rules. The new set of rules may then be inherited by an even lower level organization and again immediately used to create a catalog for the even lower level organization. The even lower level organization can also tailor the catalog to its needs by adding its own explicit rules to the set of rules. The rules are used to dictate what is included in or excluded from a particular catalog. The rules are also used to determine prices for the products, services and capabilities that are offered in the catalogs. The rules act only on data, or items, that are in effect at that time and in a specified location.

  • Publication number: 20050060242
Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of the invention relates to a method, system, and storage medium for resolving demand and supply imbalances. The method comprises identifying at least one excess component inventory liability or constraint in supply capability for an end product by matching current buying patterns for the end product against inventory liability and supply capability based on a previous demand forecast. Where excess component inventory liability exists the method refocuses the excess component inventory liability by determining alternative end products that use components identified in the excess component inventory liability; and executes sales activities for enticing sales of the alternative end products. Where constrained supply capability exists, the method determines alternative end products that are functionally equivalent to those identified in the constrained supply capability; and executes sales activities for enticing sales of functionally equivalent alternative end products.
