Patent number: 8307490Abstract: A preferred embodiment of a caulk tool comprises a body member having a raised handle and two working heads. The first working head is adapted for the application of caulk and is connected to the first descending end of the raised handle. The first working head preferably comprises a triangular member formed of soft plastic material. The triangular member is rotatable, having three tips of varying size. The second working head is adapted for the removal of old caulk and is connected to the second descending end of the raised handle axially opposed to the first working head. The second working head preferably comprises a metallic head having two tips suited to remove old caulk. In a preferred embodiment, a third working head in the form of a flat scraper is positioned adjacent to said second working head.Type: GrantFiled: February 24, 2010Date of Patent: November 13, 2012Assignee: Allway Tools, Inc.Inventors: Donald Gringer, Howard Soled, Yuan Fang Cheng

Patent number: 7226205Abstract: A mixing device includes vanes arranged so that the outer edges of the vanes define a frusto-conical surface in order to facilitate improved circulation of the liquid being mixed. In one embodiment, the outer edges of the vanes are tapered outward to form the frusto-conical surface. In an alternative embodiment, the inner and outer edges of the vanes are aligned with each other, and the vanes are tilted relative to a central axis to form the frusto-conical surface. Turbines extend between the vanes and shaft for rotating the mixing device. The turbines are arranged to avoid inhibiting entry of liquids through the top and bottom of the mixing device. Feet extend downward from the bottom edge of the mixing device to facilitate mixing of liquids on the bottom of the container.Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 2005Date of Patent: June 5, 2007Assignee: Site-b CompanyInventors: Donald Gringer, Yuan Fang Cheng, Howard Soled

Publication number: 20060175362Abstract: An inventive pouring spout that is selectively attachable to a container and fitted to the opening of the container with which it is used. In a preferred embodiment, the pouring spout is fitted to the dimensions of a one-quart container and includes a wall, a sealing member, a mouth and a handle, the mouth and handle extending from the wall. The handle includes a plurality of upwardly extending projections adapted to securely engage the bottom rim of the container. Furthermore, thermoplastic material is applied at the handle area forming a handle cover that is comfortable and easy to grip. Thermoplastic material is also preferably utilized in the construction of the sealing member for forming a seal between the spout and opening of the container.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 17, 2006Publication date: August 10, 2006Inventors: Donald Gringer, Yuan Cheng, Howard Soled

Patent number: 6971788Abstract: A mixing device includes vanes arranged so that the outer edges of the vanes define a frusto-conical surface in order to facilitate improved circulation of the liquid being mixed. Each vane is preferably curved, either lengthwise, widthwise, or both. In one embodiment, the outer edges of the vanes are tapered outward to form the frusto-conical surface. In an alternative embodiment, the inner and outer edges of the vanes are aligned with each other, and the vanes are tilted relative to a central axis to form the frusto-conical surface. The vanes may extend between upper and lower rims having the same or different diameters. Turbines extend between the vanes and shaft for rotating the mixing device. The turbines are arranged to avoid inhibiting entry of liquids through the top and bottom of the mixing device. Feet extend downward from the bottom edge of the mixing device to facilitate mixing of liquids on the bottom of the container.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2004Date of Patent: December 6, 2005Assignee: Site-b CompanyInventors: Donald Gringer, Yuan Fang Cheng, Howard Soled

Patent number: 4516360Abstract: A molded pole-type sandpapering tool (10) comprises a molded body member (12) having a flat backing surface (14) for the sandpaper (210) and a handle mounting surface (16) on the opposite side thereof which includes a two-piece resilient molded universal joint (18) to which a molded handle mount (22) is attached and two pairs of spaced apart pheripherally disposed molded contoured guide ramps (200a-200b, 200c-200d) adjacent opposite sides of the universal joint (18) and defining a pair of substantially orthogonally disposed slots (202a-202f) for the universally mounted handle (18) for enabling planar positioning thereof for applying optimum positive pressure to the abrasive surface. The contoured guide ramps comprise sloped contoured surfaces which positively guide the handle (20) on a contoured path between the orthogonal slots during universal movement of the handle (20) substantially in the plane of the abrasive surface (210) while maintaining optimum pressure.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 1983Date of Patent: May 14, 1985Assignee: Allway Tools, Inc.Inventors: Donald Gringer, Howard Soled
