  • Patent number: 11478417
Abstract: An anhydrous and alcohol-free slow fragrance diffusive composition (lotion, gel or cream) with longer lasting properties than hydroalcoholic formula fragrance product that contains 50 to 75 percent by weight dimethicone crosspolymer gel, 0.01 to 30 percent by weight fragrance oil and 5 to 40 percent by weight volatile linear silicone fluid. Emollients may be added to moisturize the skin, improve the fragrance rendition and/or increase the miscibility of the fragrance oil in the composition when a high level of dimethicone is used (in case of a lotion for example). Moreover, a preservative and some pigments can be added to the formula to preserve the fragrant product from bacteria contamination and to improve the aesthetics respectively.

  • Publication number: 20220259520
Abstract: A sampler is presented for a sample of a scented, waxy candle material. The scented, waxy material is melted and may be diluted with compatible additives and/or liquid (organic oil or hydrocarbon), before being layered to a face of a bottom layer. A top layer (3) is applied directly over the sample and can be adhered to the bottom layer to form a seal. In another embodiment a peripheral seal, is formed between the top and the bottom layers. The seal is separable by a user pulling on a tab a portion of the top layer to expose the face of the sample to the atmosphere allowing the volatile molecules present in the candle to be released. With a repositionable glue as a seal, the top layer can be replaced to prevent further release of volatile molecules. A method is also shown for making the sample.

  • Publication number: 20210362932
Abstract: A sampler for fragrance or cosmetic powdery material such as make up, blush, eyeshadow, and the like. The powder can be dispersed in a liquid such as a fragrance or a volatile solvent before application to a bottom layer. The solvent is removed before a top layer is applied over the sample optionally without an intermediate layer. A peripheral seal such as a repositionable glue or heat-seal, or both, is formed between the top and the bottom layers. The seal is separable by a user pulling on a tab located on one side to expose the face of the bottom and to allow the material to be sampled. The sampler has a slim profile, which can be efficiently manufactured with a roller application process, and is particularly suited for placement in magazines, flyers, newspapers, postcards, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20210315283
Abstract: A disposable diffusing collar stay that allows a slow release of volatile molecules such as perfume, insect repellent, etc. without requiring application of such molecules directly on the skin or spraying of these volatile molecules onto the wearer's skin or clothing. The disposable diffusing collar stay can be composed of a water-soluble substrate wherein volatile molecules are absorbed into the substrate or trapped between substrate layers, or of a rigid body with volatile molecules applied in a cavity thereof. The disposable diffusing collar stay can have a release barrier layer or packaging that prevents the release of volatile molecules before use.
