  • Publication number: 20060040750
Abstract: A shaft coupling assembly includes a slide seat movable on a transmission member between a standby position and a coupling position, and a work shaft positioned within a shaft-receiving space in a curved flange of the transmission member by a positioning unit. The positioning unit includes a plurality of angularly equidistant first positioning holes formed in an outer surface of a coupling end of the work shaft, and a first positioning pin extending through the curved flange to engage a selected one of the first positioning holes.

  • Publication number: 20050217104
Abstract: A method for producing concentric machine components includes the steps of: forming a blank including a tubular wall which has an inner wall face confining a central first hole that has an axis, and an outer wall face surrounding the inner wall face; cutting the blank along a cutting line that is centered at the axis of the first hole to divide the blank into inner and outer rings; boring the inner and outer rings to form a plurality of cavities at intervals in confronting surfaces of the inner and outer rings, the cavities in the inner ring complementing respectively the cavities in the outer ring to form pin holes; and placing a plurality of pins respectively in the pin holes.

  • Publication number: 20040232260
Abstract: A sealing mechanism for a fluid-containing member of a pressure-storing device includes nozzle members, a fluid intake unit, and a control unit. Each nozzle member is coupled to a respective fluid inlet of the fluid-containing member, and includes a hollow nozzle body and a valve unit operable so as to move from a blocking position for blocking fluid flow through the respective fluid inlet to an unblocking position for permitting fluid flow through the respective fluid inlet. The fluid intake unit is coupled to the fluid-containing member such that the nozzle members are disposed between the fluid intake unit and the fluid inlets. The control unit is operable so as to drive movement of the valve units of the nozzle members from the blocking position to the unblocking position.

  • Publication number: 20040214698
Abstract: An airshaft includes a shaft body having a shaft axis, and an outer shaft surface formed with at least three bladder retaining grooves. Each bladder retaining groove is generally inverted T-shaped, and has a narrower access opening formed in the shaft surface and a wider retaining section disposed between the access opening and the shaft axis. An inflatable bladder member is received in the retaining section of each retaining groove. Each of a plurality of roll contact pieces is disposed in the retaining section of a respective retaining groove, is biased by the inflatable bladder member in the respective retaining groove, and extends out of the access opening of the respective retaining groove. The roll contact pieces include a set of first roll contact pieces and a set of second roll contact pieces. The second roll contact pieces have a height shorter than that of the first roll contact pieces.

  • Patent number: 6663493
Abstract: A coupling device includes a transmission member and a work shaft. The transmission member includes a cylindrical rod to be coupled to a rotary drive unit, and a curved coupling flange projecting axially relative to one end of the cylindrical rod and formed with a plurality of engaging protrusions. The work shaft has a coupling end portion provided with a tubular sleeve that is formed with engaging grooves. The coupling end portion is disposed on the coupling flange to enable engagement between the engaging grooves and the engaging protrusions in order to permit transmission of rotation of the transmission member to the work shaft.

  • Patent number: 6419183
Abstract: An air chuck includes a deformable air bladder sleeved on and secured on a core member, and two end caps mounted respectively on two end portions of the core member. Multiple connecting rods and biasing members are disposed to surround the air bladder in a staggered arrangement, and are confined in leaf members that are disposed circumferentially around the air bladder. Inflation of an air chamber in the air bladder enables the air bladder to urge the leaf members in radial outward directions relative to a core axis such that inner wall segments of the leaf members abut against the biasing members and such that radial outward movements of the leaf members are limited by the connecting rods.
