  • Patent number: 9989992
Abstract: An enclosure for a portable computing device is disclosed. The enclosure includes an indicium (e.g., logo) positioned in an opening extending partially through the enclosure. The enclosure includes multiple material removal processes. First, a tool (e.g., laser ablation tool) can be used to ablate the opening defining an ablation having a shape or profile similar to that of the indicium. A second material removal process can remove a region within the ablation to define an indicium support. The second material removal process may be performed by a CNC cutting tool capable of forming the indicium support to a desired precision. As a result, when the indicium is secured with the indicium support, the indicium includes a desired flatness that prevents an undesired reflectivity. In order to ensure the indicium properly fits in the opening, a third material removal process may be performed to define an indention region around the opening.

  • Publication number: 20160316965
Abstract: Various implementations of a grill are described. A grill may include a grill body, a lid, a lower grate, an upper grate, a thermal-insulating blanket and a thermal-insulating wall. The grill body may have a hollow therein. The lid may be configured to be placed on the grill body to form a cooking space therebetween. The lower grate may be disposed in the hollow of the grill body, and may be configured to hold a fuel material thereon. The upper grate may be disposed in the hollow of the grill body and over the lower grate. The thermal-insulating blanket may be disposed on and around the lid. The thermal-insulating wall may be disposed in the hollow of the grill body and between the lower grate and the upper grate.

  • Patent number: 7528323
Abstract: An outlet cover includes an outlet surface and a cord container for convenient cord storage is provided. The outlet surface has at least one outlet opening, and the cord container is disposed corresponding to the outlet opening. The above cord container has a plurality of cord entry/exit holes and at least one passage connecting the plurality of cord entry/exit holes. A power supply cover box includes a body and at least a cord container is also provided. The body includes a first end having at least one outlet opening. The cord container of the power supply cover box has a plurality of cord entry/exit holes and passages connecting the plurality of cord entry/exit holes. The passages have a predetermined width, which is preferably slightly smaller than the diameter of a regular electric cord, to retain the cord within the cord container. The cord container only allows the cord to enter or exit through the cord entry/exit holes.

  • Patent number: 5931329
Abstract: A device to adapt a coffee carafe in its height so that it may be used on a plurality of coffee makers of differing designs. It includes a hinged carafe lid adaptable to fit a coffee carafe and having an internally threaded bore located at the center of the lid, through which is threaded a hollow screw which has a substantially flat or conically-shaped surface attached to its upper end. The surface has holes that fit over the hollow portion of the screw. The height of the surface can be adjusted by rotating it so that the threads elevate or depress the substantially flat or conically-shaped surface, thereby positioning the surface immediately beneath the output spout of the coffee maker or engaging an activation switch or anti-drip valve mechanism at any portion of the coffee maker. The device may utilize a frictionally engaged cylinder within the center bore of the lid instead of the preferred threaded embodiment of the device.
