    Abstract: A viewing angle switchable display apparatus including a display panel, an electrically controlled viewing angle switching device, an electrically controlled light scattering switching device, and a backlight module is provided. The electrically controlled viewing angle switching device includes two first transparent substrates, two first transparent conductive layers, a liquid crystal layer, and a first polarizer located on a side of the electrically controlled viewing angle switching device which is far away from the display panel. The liquid crystal layer includes liquid crystal molecules, and optical axes of the liquid crystal molecules are parallel or perpendicular to a transmission axis of the first polarizer. The electrically controlled light scattering switching device is located between the display panel and the backlight module and includes two second transparent substrates, two second transparent conductive layers, and an electronically controlled polymer material layer.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal light-adjusting film includes a polymer material substrate and a plurality of elliptical crystal cells. The polymer material substrate has a light incident surface and a light exiting surface opposite to each other. A direction from the light incident surface to the light exiting surface is a thickness direction of the polymer material substrate. The elliptical crystal cells are disposed in the polymer material substrate. A long axis direction of each of the elliptical crystal cells is arranged along a first direction perpendicular to the thickness direction, and each of the elliptical crystal cells comprises a plurality of liquid crystal molecules. A manufacturing method of the liquid crystal light-adjusting film and a backlight module using the liquid crystal light-adjusting film are also provided.

    Abstract: A display device includes a backlight module generating an emitting light having a first light distribution pattern, a switchable single-axis diffuser and a display panel. The first light distribution pattern has a light intensity exceeding a predetermined value within a first view angle range in a first direction. When the switchable single-axis diffuser is switched to a transparent mode, the emitting light passes through the switchable single-axis diffuser and maintains the first light distribution pattern. When the switchable single-axis diffuser is switched to a diffusion mode, the emitting light passes through the switchable single-axis diffuser and converts to a second light distribution pattern having the luminous intensity exceeding the predetermined value within a range of a second view angle in a first direction. The second view angle range is larger than the first view angle range.

    Abstract: A polarized type viewing angle control device including a first polarizer, a second polarizer, a first O-plate compensation film, and a second O-plate compensation film is provided. The first polarizer has a first transmission axis. The second polarizer has a second transmission axis parallel to the first transmission axis. The first and second O-plate compensation films are located between the first and second polarizers and respectively have a first optical axis and a second optical axis. An orthogonal projection of the first optical axis on the first polarizer and an orthogonal projection of the second optical axis on the second polarizer are parallel or perpendicular to the first transmission axis and the second transmission axis. The second optical axis and the first optical axis have opposite inclination directions.
