Abstract: A sonar type object detection system and its implementing method are provided, whereby a physical object within a certain range can be detected after implementing by an operator. The present invention is mainly formed by a sonar application program unit, a voiceprint data base, and a mobile electronic device combined therewith. The present invention employs the principle of active sonar, in which a sonar module is used to transmit detective soundwaves and simultaneously to collect the reflective soundwaves of the detective soundwaves bouncing from physical object. Then, the reflective soundwaves are compared with the voiceprint data stored in the voiceprint data base, and the relative position of the object to be found is displayed directly on the screen of the mobile electronic device.
