  • Publication number: 20110048652
Abstract: A safety mechanism for Roman shade includes a shade assembly having a head rail, a shade cloth connected to the head rail, and connecting members set on the shade cloth; a lifting unit connected to the shade assembly and having pull cords and raising cords connected thereto; a plurality of butt-connecting devices connected to the pull cords and each having two detachably connected upper and lower sleeves; and a plurality of locking members associated with the raising cords and detachably engaged with the connecting members. When a pull cord or a raising cord is subjected to a load excessively larger than a force needed to lift or lower the shade cloth, the upper and lower sleeves of the butt-connecting device on that pull cord will separate from each other and the locking members on that raising cord will disengage from the connecting members, making the Roman shade safer for use.

  • Publication number: 20110036517
Abstract: A safety device for roller shade bead chain includes a connecting seat, a rotary disc disposed atop the connecting seat and provided along a circumferential face with a plurality of retaining recesses, an elastic element located between the connecting seat and the rotary disc, and a cover plate assembled to the connecting seat to restrict the rotary disc and the elastic element to the connecting seat. A bead chain for controlling a roller shade can be wound around the rotary disc, and then pulled into a straight state before the connecting seat is fixed to a predetermined position. The bead chain being pulled straight and held in place via the safety device will not swing freely to dangerously entangle with and strangulate a child, and is therefore safer for use.

  • Publication number: 20110035908
Abstract: A curtain bead chain fixing device includes a bead chain guide way through which a bead chain as a pull cord for controlling a curtain is extended and thereby becomes connected to the fixing device, and an elastically movable interfering element being normally pushed into the bead chain guide way to interfere with the free movement of the bead chain in and along the bead chain guide way. When the fixing device is adequately mounted to a wall surface according to specified installation procedures, the interfering element is forced out of the bead chain guide way to release the bead chain therefrom. Therefore, a user of the curtain is urged and guided to adequately mount the fixing device to hold the bead chain in place, and undesired accidents caused by a swinging bead chain can be avoided.

  • Patent number: 6942764
Abstract: Contamination due to deposited particulate matter has been greatly reduced in single wafer sputter-etchers by coating the full interior of the sputtering shield with a layer of an arc-sprayed material such as aluminum, said layer being possessed of a high degree of surface roughness. The method for forming the coating of arc-sprayed aluminum is described and data comparing particulate contaminant count and product yield before and after the adoption of the present invention, are presented.

  • Patent number: 6436253
Abstract: The uniformity of material removal, as well as contamination due to deposited particulate matter, has been reduced in single wafer sputter-etchers by providing an improved gas baffle. Said gas baffle presents a smooth surface to the incoming sputtering gas so that it disperses uniformly throughout the sputtering chamber, thereby avoiding local fluctuations in pressure which, in turn, can lead to local differences in material removal rate as well as to particulate contamination of the surface that is being etched. The design of the baffle is described along with a method for attaching it to the inside of the sputtering shield.
