Abstract: A power supply unit includes a sidewall, an end wall, a resilient latch, and a block. The end wall is connected to the sidewall. A stop plate extends outward from the end wall adjacent to the sidewall. A first end of the latch is connected to an inner surface of the sidewall. A latching portion protrudes outward from the latch, to be extended out of the sidewall. The block is pivotably connected to a second end of the latch opposite to the first end. The block is extended out of the end wall between the stop plate and the sidewall. When the block is rotated, a first side of the block is capable of engaging with the stop plate, to prevent the latch from moving away from the sidewall such that the latching portion cannot withdraw from the through slot.

Abstract: A mounting device for mounting a hard disk drive includes a bracket, two shock absorbing members, and a slide member. The bracket includes two opposite side plates. An inner surface of each side plate defines a receiving slot. Each shock absorbing member is made of resilient material and received in the corresponding receiving slots. Each shock absorbing member defines a groove facing the other shock absorbing member. The slide member includes two mounting plates respectively fixed to opposite sides of the hard disk drive. A mounting portion extends from each mounting plate to slidably engage in the groove of the corresponding shock absorbing member.

The fan is mounted to and received in the bracket. When the bracket is rotated to a predetermined position in the accommodating member, the latching tab is latched in the latching hole, and the torsion spring is deformed, these two elements operate to absorb and nullify any vibration from the working fan.

One extremity of the fastening pole of the cable management member is rotatably mounted to the first connector. The first cable is mounted lengthwise on the fastening poles to be collapsible with the cable management member. The second connector is electrically connected to the fan.

The backplane, the power supply module, and the storage controller are provided in the internal space of the casing. The backplane has a plurality of first connectors for electrically connecting to the HDD devices. The storage controller is electrically connected to the backplane and power supply module. A storage system capable of receiving mixed HDD devices of different dimensions is formed thereby.
