  • Publication number: 20240087699
Abstract: Various of the disclosed embodiments provide Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) for reviewing prior surgical procedures. Specifically, the GUI may allow a user, such as surgeon, to review sensor data, including video data, acquired during various of the surgeon's past surgical procedures. Some sensor data may be organized into metrics referred to herein as objective performance indicators (OPIs). Similarly, procedures may be discretized into specific tasks. By organizing and presenting data in OPI form at the task level, the GUI may facilitate efficient and coordinated review of the surgeon's progress over time across multiple procedures. In some embodiments, corresponding data from expert surgeons may also presented in the interface so that the user may gauge the surgeon's relative performance.

  • Patent number: 11520056
Abstract: Systems and methods of heading determination with global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signal measurements are provided herein. A pair of antennas may be separated by a known baseline length and mounted on a vehicle. A GNSS receiver may obtain pseudorange and carrier phase measurements for GNSS satellites within view. An LRU may estimate carrier phase ambiguities and a two-dimensional vector, using the known baseline length and a linearized measurement model. The LRU may determine integer ambiguities using the estimated carrier phase ambiguities. The LRU may determine assumed wrong fixes of the integer ambiguities and a probability of almost fixed value. The LRU may store the set of integer ambiguities. The LRU may determine, from accumulated data over measurement epochs, updated integer ambiguities. The LRU may correct the carrier phase measurements using the updated integer ambiguities. The LRU may compute the heading using the corrected carrier phase measurements.

  • Patent number: 8834698
Abstract: A method for sorting cells in a biological sample comprising a first type of cells and a second type of cells may comprise introducing the biological sample into a chamber comprising a first surface and a second surface, wherein the first surface is associated with a transparent electrode and the second surface is associated with a photoconductive portion of an electrode. The method may further comprise moving incident light and the photoconductive portion relative to one another so as to illuminate regions of the photoconductive portion and modulate an electric field in the chamber in proximity to the illuminated regions. The method may further comprise separating the first type of cells from the second type of cells in the chamber via dielectrophoretic movement of the first type of cells and the second type of cells caused by the modulated electric field, wherein a dielectrophoretic characteristic of at least one of the first type of cells and the second type of cells has been modified.

  • Patent number: 7036667
Abstract: A container is provided for shipping and storing a pre-wetted and pre-conditioned microfluidic “sipper” chip. The container contains both dry compartments and wet compartments. A base contains a fluid-filled reservoir configured to house the capillaries. The opening of the reservoir is sealed with an O-ring. The plastic mount of the chip rests on the base in a dry compartment. The upper surface of the chip contains several wells containing fluid. A gasket is provided with plugs configured to be disposed within and seal the wells. Alternatively, the wells are first sealed with a foil film adhered to the well openings with an adhesive and a gasket is disposed between the foil and a cover, which is removably attached to the base. When the cover is closed, the gasket and O-ring seal the wet compartments to prevent leakage and to slow evaporation.
