  • Publication number: 20240071682
Abstract: A neodymium-iron-boron magnet is provided. The neodymium-iron-boron magnet is subject to diffusion and permeation of a heavy rare earth element, the neodymium-iron-boron magnet includes a heavy-rare-earth diffusion region at a surface layer and a core non-diffusion region, and the neodymium-iron-boron magnet has the heavy-rare-earth diffusion region at regions, which have normal directions consistent with three axes of a three-dimensional Cartesian coordinate system, of the surface layer. The present application extends the principle of diffusion from microscopic grains to macroscopic magnets. Diffusion layers of different depths may be obtained by adjusting temperature and time of heat treatment. Through the magnetic hardening of the surface layer of the magnet, the coercive force of the magnet is increased, and the magnet remanence (Br) and the maximum magnetic energy level (BHmax) are very slightly reduced. The producing process is simple, and highly controllable.

  • Publication number: 20220331762
Abstract: Disclosed are a stirring process and a stirring system for a neodymium-iron-boron powder and a process for manufacturing a neodymium-iron-boron magnetic steel. The stirring process for the neodymium-iron-boron powder mainly comprises the following aeration, feeding and stirring. Specifically, the aeration refers to filling a mixer with nitrogen and/or an inert gas, with the internal space of the mixer closed; the feeding refers to placing a neodymium-iron-boron powder to be stirred into the mixer and keeping the internal space of the mixer closed; and the stirring refers to introducing the mixer with a pulsed air stream, which is an intermittently jetted air stream formed by nitrogen and/or an inert gas, and by which the neodymium-iron-boron powder can be repeatedly blown up and down to mix and stir the neodymium-iron-boron powder.

  • Publication number: 20210296028
Abstract: Provided is a neodymium-iron-boron magnet, obtained by processing neodymium-iron-boron raw material powders coated with modified powders, wherein the modified powders comprise heavy rare earth element oxide powders and/or heavy rare earth element fluoride powders, specially, heavy rare earth fluoride or oxide powders are used to coat on the surface of the magnetic powders, so that diffusion occurs simultaneously during the subsequent sintering. In addition, during the sintering process, the heavy rare earth oxide or fluoride powders coated on the surface of the magnetic powders substitute part of the light rare earth and the heavy rare earth is absorbed by the magnets, thereby increasing coercive force and effectively inhibiting the reduction of the residual magnetism. In the present disclosure, by using small amount of heavy rare earth element, the coercive force of magnets is increased, which saves rare earth metal sources and production cost.
