  • Publication number: 20100230559
Abstract: The invention relates to a gantry device (10) for use in the assembly or maintenance of heavy parts or machine components or metal parts of a travelling device. The gantry device (10) comprises two lateral bipods (11), every bipod (11) having beam-type, elongate limbs (12) and a connecting element (13) and the limbs (12) being secured to said connecting element (13) with their top ends. The limbs have four extension elements (14), an extension element (14) being arranged on a lower end of every limb (12) or support (12) or beam (12). A cross member (15) extends between the two lateral bipods (11) and is secured to every end of the cross member (15) in the corresponding connecting element (13). The device (10) further comprises a trolley with a roller, which trolley is arranged on the cross member (15) in such a manner that it can be displaced along the cross member (15) in the area between the lateral bipods (11) or horizontally moved.

  • Patent number: 7234583
Abstract: An improved escalator or moving walk construction, head elements are pre-assembled as a sub-assembly which is subsequently mounted on the truss of the escalator. The sub-assembly includes comb plate holders, one on each side, which carry a comb plate. The comb plate holder may have a C-shaped profile and may be reinforced by stiffening ribs so as to be able to bear the weight of the end-curve of a balustrade. By means of supports arranged on the truss, the height of the comb plate carrier can be adjusted to that of the truss. During pre-assembly, and until after final mounting on the truss, the comb plate serves as a connecting element between comb plate holders.

  • Patent number: 6971497
Abstract: A handrail-drive for an escalator or moving walk drives the handrail through frictional contact with an outside surface of the handrail. Press-on rollers engaging the inside of the handrail may be employed to press the handrail against a drive-wheel of the drive. The force of the rollers may be adjustable. The drive-wheel may include a gas-filled tire on a rim and can be driven by a motor, a step-chain wheel, or a step-chain drive.
