  • Publication number: 20100146075
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of managing connection status for a channel connecting a server device to a mobile radio communication device including a client/server pair, the method including upon receiving an indication that the client/server pair is disconnected, sending from the mobile radio communication device a status signal to the server device indicating that the client has reset connection between the client/server pair, and upon receiving an indication that the client has connected to the server device, sending from the mobile radio communication device a status signal to the server device indicating that the client is connected to the server device.

  • Patent number: 7676222
Abstract: A telecommunication terminal for accessing a data network via an access network using a set of provisioning data stores a current set of provisioning data and at least one set of protected provisioning data. The protected provisioning data cannot be updated without the intervention of the terminal user. This enables a mobile terminal to change access network without losing the provisioning data of the home access network. It avoids the need for further provisioning on returning to the home access network.

  • Publication number: 20090191917
Abstract: A plurality of simultaneous requests sent from one or a plurality of clients is processed by a (U)SIM card operating in a server mode. The present invention relates to a method of communication between a chip card ((U)SIM) provided with a server (SCWS) and one or a plurality of clients wherein the card is included in a mobile radio terminal to communicate via at least one BIP channel with the terminal, the terminal performs a gateway function between the BIP channel and a plurality of TCP connections for one or more clients described above.

  • Patent number: 6811077
Abstract: A method of securing access by an external application to at least one user card having a microprocessor, said user card being capable of containing a plurality of internal applications, said external application corresponding to one of the internal applications, said user card co-operating with a terminal, said external application using a protocol for connection to said user card in which each type of external application is associated with a predetermined identity parameter, the method comprising the following steps: when a first external application is connected with the corresponding internal application on the user card, the identity parameter of the application is determined; if a second external application requests connection to said user card, the identity parameter of said second application is analyzed; and if said parameter is identical to that of the first-connected application, then access to said corresponding internal application on the user card is denied to said second external applicati

  • Patent number: 6658246
Abstract: The invention provides a system for monitoring access to a service available via a telecommunications terminal connected to a telecommunications network, access to the service being subject to paying a subscription. The system includes: a unit configured to detect refusal of access to a service because there is no subscription to that service, a unit configured to prepare an electronic message following said access refusal, the message identifying the service to which access has been refused and the subscription enabling said terminal to use the telecommunications network to which the terminal is connected, and a unit configured to send the prepared message to a unit for monitoring attempts to access services to which there is no subscription.

  • Patent number: 6525256
Abstract: To compress a MIDI format file it is converted to a format 0 file. The format 0 file is then scanned to reduce the number of possible instruments to 16. MIDI commands having no sound output are then eliminated and NoteOn and NoteOff commands are replaced by a PlayNote command. This eliminates instances of &Dgr;time equal to 0. Based on the characteristics of an appliance that has to play the compressed file, the notes are recentered in a bandwidth compatible with the appliance, after which the file is scanned to seek instances of polyphony. If an instance of polyphony exceeds the capacities of the appliance it is reduced in accordance with an instrument priority list and a note pitch.

  • Publication number: 20020016184
Abstract: A mobile telephone is connected to a private base in the same way as it is connected to a mobile telephone network. The base is connected to another telephone network. The user employs the same interface, i.e. the telephone, to set parameters of services of either network. When the telephone is connected to it, the base provides an interface between the second network and requests sent via the telephone. A server of the second network can therefore process requests from the mobile telephone and the base can therefore manage acknowledgements from the server on-line or off-line and without interfering with a call.
