  • Publication number: 20050284210
Abstract: The apparatus includes a sample tank for collecting and quieting a volume fraction of the fluid to be measured. The sample tank is in communication, at least at times, with a fluid containment via a filling line (L1) and a supply line (L2) connected, at least at times, with the filling line. The apparatus further includes a fluid measuring device having a vibration-type measurement pickup. A measuring tube of the measurement pickup is caused to vibrate during operation. The measuring tube is connected, at least at times, with the sample tank via a connecting line (L3), which is connected to an inlet end of the measurement pickup. The apparatus of the invention is especially suited for measuring liquids which are charged with gas and/or which tend to outgas.

  • Patent number: 6702043
Abstract: A drilling machine 1 with a drill pipe holder 10 to be operated automatically in boring as well as in pulling, disposes over a gripper 20, which is constructed rotatably about an axis 21 and beyond that also axially displaceably, and has a telescoping support arm 22. The pipes 8, 9 can be arranged, i.e. stored, inserted into one another in pipe depositories 11, 12, 13 forming a partial circle 15 and can also be pulled out of them and swiveled into the drilling axis 7 with the aid of the gripper 20. When pulling the drilling string, the pipes 8, 9 can then be individually fanned out into the pipe depositories 11, 12, 13 and then later on the outer pipes 8 can be slid over. The entire process is operated automatically with the gripper 20.

  • Publication number: 20030129077
Abstract: An aluminium base alloy for production of casting alloys with magnesium as the most essential alloy element contains at least 50% scrap metal on primary aluminium base and as the remainder primary aluminium and/or scrap metal on secondary aluminium base of known composition. For production of the aluminium base alloy mainly foodstuff and animal feed packings are used, separated with a pyrolysis process and then the aluminium contained in the packing recycled by melting. The casting alloys produced from the aluminium base alloy are suitable in particular for production of heat-resistant and/or corrosion-resistant parts in the engine area, in particular for production of engine blocks, cylinder heads and oil sumps, by means of sand casting, chilled casting, diecasting, thixocasting or thixoforging.

  • Patent number: 6073735
Abstract: A brake disc (10) has a cover (12) made of a cast aluminium alloy and a brake ring (14) made of cast steel or cast iron. The cover (12) is cast onto pockets (22) which have a radially inwardly facing pocket opening next to the pocket edge (26), formed on the internal circumference (U.sub.i) of the brake ring, creating a radial distance (b) between the cover (12) and the brake ring (14). The pocket edge (26) is surrounded by the cast cover (12) and the pockets (22) are substantially filled with the cast aluminium alloy. Because of this method of connecting the brake ring (14) to the cover (12), umbrella-like distortion can be largely avoided.

  • Patent number: 5250125
Abstract: For the grain refinement of aluminum casting alloys, in particular aluminum/silicon casting alloys, gallium phosphide and/or indium phosphide are/is added to the melt, optionally in addition to further grain-refinement and/or modification additions. The addition of gallium phosphide and/or indium phosphide results in a good grain refinement with low shrink-hole tendency and does not have an adverse effect on modification processes.
