  • Patent number: 10399396
Abstract: A system for determining a tire contact area parameter includes a sensor module on the tire. The sensor module has a sensor that receives a sensor signal which is dependent on a mechanical tire load at a predetermined measuring point on the tire. A first evaluation device evaluates the sensor signal and provides data based on the sensor signal. The data contain a data element which indicates a time point in the sensor signal. The time point characterizes a passage of the measuring point through the tire contact area. A second evaluation device calculates the tire contact area parameter by evaluating the data provided by the first evaluation device. The first evaluation device analyzes the sensor signal based on a predetermined evaluation criterion with respect to the signal quality of the sensor signal to provide signal quality information of the sensor signal.

  • Patent number: 7469677
Abstract: A butterfly valve device (1), particularly an electrically actuated butterfly valve device (1) e.g. for use in an intake manifold of an internal combustion engine is designed in such a way that the effort required for assembling the intake manifold can be reduced while the requirements regarding dimensional tolerances and tightness can be met and the number of parts is minimized. This aim is achieved by the fact that at least one housing part (3) of the butterfly valve device (1) is embodied monolithically along with an intake pipe (15) that is disposed upstream or downstream of the butterfly valve device (1).

  • Patent number: 7290516
Abstract: In order to simplify an electrical connection device for injection devices, to make them more reliable and to simplify their installation, it is proposed that the electrical connection device has a printed circuit board (1) with printed circuit board tracks (3) arranged thereon, and the printed circuit board tracks (3) lead from a connector area to a respective coil, whereby the coils on the printed circuit board (1) are conductively arranged, and the printed circuit board, the connector area and the coils are injection-molded with plastic as a single piece and produce a structural unit.

  • Patent number: 7032557
Abstract: An internal combustion engine has an intake device (1), the intake pipes (5 to 8) for the intakes of cylinders of the internal combustion engine and actuators for adjusting the effective pipe lengths of the intake pipes (5 to 8) by closing or opening at least one opening of the intake pipes (5 to 8) up to a hollow body and at least one actuator for controlling the actuators. Within a first speed range whose upper limit is a first threshold value (N1), the actuators are moved into a closed position. For a speed (N), exceeding a first threshold value (N1) and being less than a second threshold value (N2), the actuators are moved into a leakage position. For a speed exceeding the second threshold value (N2), the actuators are moved into an open position.

  • Publication number: 20040194751
Abstract: In a intake system of a combustion engine, surface irregularities in the form of raised parts (8) or depressions (7) are created, at predetermined points, in the wall surfaces of a suction pipe or the surfaces of a flap arranged in such a suction pipe, in order to avoid burbling and eddying in these areas.
