  • Patent number: 5254344
Abstract: The present invention relates to an oil-in-water pesticidal emulsion comprising a lipophilic pesticidal substance, optionally an organic solvent dissolving the said substance, water and an emulsifying system capable of ensuring the dispersion of the oily phase in the aqueous phase, wherein the said emulsion additionally comprises a dispersing agent based on titanium dioxide. The present invention also comprises a suspoemulsion obtained by adding a solid pesticide to the above-mentioned emulsion followed by milling.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 13, 1992
Date of Patent: October 19, 1993
    Assignee: Rhone-Poulenc Inc.
    Inventors: Mohammad Dookhith, Hubert Linares
  • Patent number: 5206021
Abstract: The present invention relates to stabilized, concentrated or diluted emulsions of the oil-in-water (O/W) type exhibiting a pesticidal activity and to a process for making use of the emulsions. More specifically the invention relates to stable O/W macroemulsions which comprise one or more pesticidal active ingredients in the oil phase or additionally, macroemulsions which comprise one or more pesticidal active ingredients in both the oil and water phases, wherein the oily phase is emulsified or dispersed in the water phase by an emulsifying system; and wherein the emulsions are further stabilized by a solid dispersing agent, namely titanium dioxide, which maintains or improves the emulsion stability. It also relates to a suspoemulsion obtained by milling the said emulsion with an additional solid pesticidal substance.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 7, 1990
Date of Patent: April 27, 1993
    Assignee: Rhone-Poulenc AG Company

  • Patent number: 4421918
Abstract: Process for the preparation of 7-chloro-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolin-4-one by cyclizing 3-m-chloroanilinopropionic acid by means of an oleum, and desulphonating the resulting aromatic sulphonic acids by means of dilute sulphuric acid. The quinolinone product is useful as a starting material for the preparation of pharmaceuticals.

  • Patent number: 4024127
Abstract: 5-Alkyl-10-amino-10,11-dihydrodibenzo[b,f]azepines, useful as starting materials for the preparation of agricultural fungicides and also as therapeutic agents, are obtained by the reaction in an inert organic solvent of an N-alkyl-N-o-tolylanthranilonitrile with an alkali metal amide prepared from an amine, and the imino radical in the resulting 10-imino-10,11-dihydrodibenzo[b,f]azepine is converted to the amino radical by catalytic hydrogenation.
