  • Publication number: 20160347016
Abstract: A device for compacting pulp flocks into slabs or preferably prism-shaped bale in a press with a device for feeding the pulp to the press with a least one buffer chute. The press unit is provided in the form of a mechanical toggle press and at least one pre-compaction unit. This can replace the commonly-used hydraulic system and greatly reduces the amount of maintenance required. In addition, it can shorten the cycle time and thus increase production.

  • Publication number: 20160347017
Abstract: A device for compacting stacked sheets of chemical, mechanical, or recycled fibre pulp, or pulp slabs from a preceding slab press into preferably prism-shaped bales in a press, with a device for feeding the pulp to the press. It is primarily characterized in that a press unit is provided in the form of a mechanical toggle press. This can replace the commonly-use hydraulic system and greatly reduces the amount of maintenance required.

  • Patent number: 8794137
Abstract: A screw press (1) for removing liquid from a pulp suspension has a shell (2) which is provided with openings through which the liquid can pass. The shell (2) contains a rotating screw with a screw flight (4) to which wearing parts are attached. Wearing part (6) and support (7) are connected to one another in a substance-to-substance bond by a soldered joint and in a positive bond by a projection (8) located at one of the two parts and which meshes into a recess (9) in the other part.

  • Patent number: 8191470
Abstract: Screw press, preferably for removing liquid from a material to be conveyed, comprising a screw shaft (1) complete with a helical conveying flight (2) mounted on the screw shaft (1) and a housing shell (3) surrounding it, where a transport channel (4) is formed for the material to be conveyed between the screw shaft (1), the conveying flight (2), and the housing shell (3). In order to prevent conveyed material components from adhering to the screw shaft (1), and thus uneven filling of the transport channel (4), the invention provides for the screw shaft (1) to have a surface profile (5), at least in one section of the transport channel (4).

  • Patent number: 6033579
Abstract: The invention covers a process for dehydration/filtration, and washing of red mud, if applicable with addition of sand, particularly from the Bayer process for aluminum production from bauxite, in which filters are used and caustic is washed out on the filter. The invention is basically characterized by washing and dehydration being effected under pressure above atmospheric with regeneration of bound caustic and production of a residue with a high solids concentration. In addition, the invention covers a plant for the implementation of the process.

  • Patent number: 5849202
Abstract: A process and device for the filtration of solid-liquid mixtures, in particular, solid-liquid suspensions with readily sedimenting substances, uses a filtration device such as a rotary filter optionally operating at an overpressure and in a pressure vessel. The process primarily comprises producing a movement in addition to the natural or usual filtration movement of the or in the mixture. Conveniently, a filtration device and, in particular, with rotary filters in a pressure vessel, includes a partly open feeding device, in particular, a feeding pipe for the supply of mixture or suspension, and a device for additionally influencing the natural or usual filtration movement of or in the mixture or suspension for generating an additional flow of the mixture.

  • Patent number: 5707512
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the separation, in particular filtration of liquids and solids from solid-liquid mixtures, such as from a mineral, ore, coal or sludge suspensions of contaminated earth. The processing space of the filtration apparatus is submitted to overpressure and includes a collector container for solid-liquid mixture, a pressure filter, a discharge system and container for condensate and solid matter. The separation or filtration takes place at an overpressure and at an elevated temperature, preferably 40.degree. C. to 300.degree. C., conveniently 60.degree. C. to 200.degree. C., preferably about 150.degree. C. The pressure filter device communicates with a source for a heated medium.
