  • Publication number: 20050239152
Abstract: The present invention relates to an on-line detection method comprising the steps of: contacting an effluent of a fractionation step with a controlled amount of an enzyme; allowing the enzyme to interact with analytes suspected to be present in the effluent; addition of a controlled amount of a substrate for said enzyme; allowing a reaction of the enzyme with the substrate providing one or more modified substrate products; and detection of unreacted substrate, or a modified substrate product using a mass spectrometer.

  • Publication number: 20040053424
Abstract: The present invention relates to the measurement of interactions, and especially biospecific interactions in an assay using mass spectrometry. More in particular, the present invention makes it possible to measure specific interactions in a homogeneous biochemical assay. The on-line detection method of the present invention comprises an effluent of a fractionation step with a controlled amount of affinity molecules, which affinity molecules bind with analytes suspected to be present in the effluent. This step is followed by the addition of a controlled amount of known ligands, which ligands bind to the affinity molecules, by which ligand/affinity molecule-complexes are formed. In accordance with the invention, the free ligands are detected in the presence of the ligand/affinity molecule-complexes, using a mass spectrometer.

  • Patent number: 6080590
Abstract: The present invention relates to an on-line detection method comprising the on-line coupling of a fractionation and a biochemical detection technique, which method comprises the addition of a controlled amount of an affinity molecule to the effluent of the fractionation step to react with analytes in the effluent, the subsequent addition of a controlled amount of a detectable ligand capable of binding to the affinity molecule, and detection of the affinity molecule/detectable ligand complex.

  • Patent number: 5225349
Abstract: Inositol phosphates and/or derivatives thereof are analytically separated, whereby a quaternary amine is mixed with an aqueous solution containing one or more inositol phosphates and/or derivatives thereof. The aqueous solution obtained is fed to an analytical column containing a solid non-polar phase and the different constituents thereof are detected.
