Publication number: 20130196049Abstract: There is provided a process for preparing a reduced sodium salt composition, the process comprising the steps of mixing sodium chloride with one or more sodium chloride substitute complexes, heating the so-formed mixture to form a melt, and cooling the melt to form a solid. The so-formed solid is a fused granular matrix of sodium chloride and one or more sodium chloride substitute complexes. An alternative process is provided in which the sodium chloride and the sodium chloride substitute complex are heated to the liquid phase before they are combined. A reduced sodium salt composition is also provided, in particular a reduced sodium chloride salt obtained from these processes.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 14, 2010Publication date: August 1, 2013Applicant: KLINGE CHEMICALS LTD.Inventors: Douglas Hugh Brown, Michael Klinge, Stephan Klinge

Patent number: 7673183Abstract: A method and system for ordering and aggregating log streams. Log streams for events from different sources are received. If different sources have different recording cycles, or time epochs, that lead to different temporal granularities, then all of the log streams are combined into a single time epoch that is equal to the longest time epoch. Log streams from sources having shorter time epochs continue to retain information about their original time epochs, in order to retain information about the order of the events in those log streams. The log streams are re-ordered, both before and after being integrated into the aggregate log, by acquiring additional data from the different sources, thus permitting the likely cause/effect relationship between events.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2008Date of Patent: March 2, 2010Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Fred Allison Bower, III, Rodney Hugh Brown, Tushar Dasharath Fadale, Thomas James Fox, Richard Edwin Harper, David Bryan Roberts, Ketan K. Patent number: 7429038Abstract: A finisher for an image forming apparatus includes a pair of rotatable downstream rollers and a pair of rotatable upstream roller between which a path on which an imaged medium travels. The finisher determines when a trailing edge of the medium is about to leave a nip of the upstream rollers and then stops a leading edge of the medium. By stopping the leading edge of the medium, the medium buckles and the trailing edge registers against the upstream nip line. A finishing device performs a hole punch, staple, or other finishing operation to the medium when the trailing edge registers against the upstream nip line. The finishing operation is performed at a speed equal to or greater than a speed at which the image forming apparatus forms the image on the medium and outputs the medium to the finisher.Type: GrantFiled: July 17, 2006Date of Patent: September 30, 2008Assignee: Xerox CorporationInventors: Raymond Matthew Ruthenberg, Joseph Andre Michel Loiselle, Robert Hugh Brown

Publication number: 20040103180Abstract: Signals to a management module are generated on an occurrence of an event affecting one of a plurality of server blades housed in a common chassis with the management module and aggregated in the management module. Signaling in accordance with this invention may be originated at a number of levels of operation of information handling systems, and distinction can be drawn between an occurrence requiring prompt attention from an operator—an alert—and occurrences where such prompt action is unnecessary. Occurrences signaled are logged for possible later review, and such a log will, in the contemplation of this invention, contain events related to a number of server blades.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 27, 2002Publication date: May 27, 2004Applicant: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Rodney Hugh Brown, Gregory William Dake, Jeffery M. Patent number: 5628215Abstract: The driver's seat is provided with a tiltable seat back, along the edge facing the door is mounted an elongated bar. The bar is pivoted at its lower end to the chassis as to be conjointly tiltable with the seat back. Fixedly mounted about midway of the side edge of the seat back is a hasp through which the bar passes. The hasp and the bar are provided with cooperating locking devices so that the assembly can be fixed in a selected tilted position.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 1995Date of Patent: May 13, 1997Inventor: Hugh Brown
