  • Patent number: 4298976
Abstract: Microphonograph record which is to remain stationary while information is being reproduced therefrom formed from a sheet of material and having generally V-shaped locating means formed in the sheet of material which is accessible from one side of the sheet of material. The V-shaped locating means lies in a plane generally parallel to the plane of the sheet of material. The sheet of material is provided with first and second surfaces and has information carried by the sheet of material on at least one surface thereof and arranged in a generally concentric circular pattern. The circular pattern has at its center a point which lies in close proximity to the apex of the V-shaped locating means.

  • Patent number: 4198134
Abstract: Film cartridge for use in viewing motion picture film having means forming a framework with an index plate with an aperture therein. A continuous length of film having perforations along one edge thereof is carried by the framework. Guide means is provided on the framework for guiding the film over the index plate and past the aperture. Means is provided for advancing the film frame by frame past the aperture. A spool is rotatably mounted on the framework. The spool has a central hub and a film supporting surface extending radially from the hub so that the hub extends away from the surface in a direction generally perpendicular to the surface. The spool has an annular rim spaced from the hub and extending away from the surface and in the same direction as the hub.

  • Patent number: 4192295
Abstract: A urinary drainage bag incorporating a handle, inlet and outlet tubes, and a vent is formed from twosheets of flexible plastic material joined together along their peripheries. The arrangement of parts is such that assembly is accomplished using a two-cycle sealing operation which can be done at one or a plurality of sealing stations. An inlet tube section and an outlet tube portion are disposed between the upper and lower margins of the sheets and are in axial alignment. Steps in the preferred method of manufacture include positioning the inlet tube section, a portion of the outlet tube, and the handle on a common mandrel prior to sealing. This assembly is then placed between the sheets and a sealing operation performed to produce all required seals. A segment of the seal is shaped to provide a labyrinth passageway vent.

  • Patent number: 4185899
Abstract: A combination viewer and projector having a housing with a rear-lighted viewing screen mounted therein. The housing is adapted to receive a magazine having a length of film therein which can be advanced past an aperture in the magazine. A source of light is provided in the housing and is then directed into the magazine to form an image from the film in the aperture. Means is provided in the housing for receiving the image and for directing it onto a rear-lighted screen or alternatively through a projection opening in the housing.

  • Patent number: 4138803
Abstract: Flower pot construction having a container formed of plastic, said container having a bottom wall and outwardly and upwardly extending generally frusto-conical side wall. A rim is formed integral with the upper extremity of the side wall and this is substantially in the form of an inverted U defining an annular recess underlying the rim. The bottom wall has a hole therein. A removable plug is disposed in the hole and forms a water-tight seal with respect to the hole. A disc-like member having drain openings therein is provided. Cooperative means is carried by the disc-like member in the container so that it is spaced above the bottom wall of the container.

  • Patent number: 4127112
Abstract: Skin Fold Caliper having first and second relatively rigid arms which have one end of each of the first and second members connected to permit pivotal movement of the first and second arms with respect to each other so that the other ends of the first and second arms can be moved between open and closed positions. A gauge is carried by the first and second arms for giving an indication of the spacing between the other ends of the first and second arms. A spring-like member formed integral with one of the arms is utilized for applying a predetermined clamping pressure between the first and second arms to move the other ends of the first and second arms toward the closed position.
