  • Publication number: 20160296387
Abstract: Disclosed is a stretcher (3) that is removably connected to a transport device (1) in order to be transported. The positioning and coupling parts for securing the stretcher (3) to the therapy table (25) and the examination table are integrated into a space (32) inside the stretcher body (13), so the stretcher body (13) can be placed directly on the surface of the therapy table (25) and can be positioned thereon and secured thereto.

  • Patent number: 4987309
Abstract: A radiation therapy unit with a beam of rays propagating from a focal point along a beam axis comprises a radiator head arranged on the beam axis with a double-focus multi-leaf collimator. The multi-leaf collimator exhibits a plurality of adjacently arranged diaphragm plates which in each case have two side faces, two front faces and an inside and an outside face. Each side face of each diaphragm plate forms a part of a surface area of a cone, all such cones having both a common cone axis which extends perpendicularly to the beam axis through the focal point, and a common cone point which coincides with the focal point. Means are provided for guiding the diaphragm plates so that each diaphragm plate performs a pure rotation about the cone axis during its displacement.

  • Patent number: 4943990
Abstract: This therapy simulator contains a radiation source (1) in a radiator head. An image acquisition unit (7) is connected to the radiator head and can be swivelled jointly with the latter about a patient's couch (9). At least two diaphragm systems, arranged offset in the direction of the principal axis (2) of the radiation source (1), are arranged in the radiator head. At least one of these diaphragm systems is designed as a depth diaphragm system (4) and at least one other is designed as a measuring diaphragm system (5).A therapy simulator is to be created on which, together with the setting of the measuring diaphragm, the corresponding depth diaphragm is adjusted automatically. This is achieved by the actuating elements of the at least two diaphragm systems being designed such that the diaphragm systems projected into the image plane of the image acquisition unit (7) move at the same speed.

  • Patent number: 4657235
Abstract: A patient's table for X-ray examinations and radiotherapy includes a couch plate which is guided with longitudinal sliding mobility on a column. In order to obtain precise guidance and low sag of the couch plate in all positions, an intermediate support is included which is arranged at the side on a bar beneath the couch plate. A continuous belt revolving in the intermediate support establishes a mechanical and electrical connection between the guide pedestal and the couch plate and always entrains the intermediate support beneath the couch plate and serves as a prolonged base for the absorption of the changing moments between the couch plate and the guide pedestal.

  • Patent number: 4458556
Abstract: A bicycle pedal mechanism that is free of any hook-like toe support includes a pedal that is rotatable about an axis, and a strap that is apt to receive the foot or footwear of a bicyclist; the strap is connected to the pedal at a predetermined spacing from the axis in a measured direction that faces away from the toe; and there is provided a pedal extension that is secured to a rear portion of the pedal; so that any torque generated by an upward movement of the pedal about the axis is taken up by a rearward portion of the foot or footwear through the pedal extension.

  • Patent number: 4449308
Abstract: A sport shoe or athletic footwear for bicyclists is disclosed which possesses at its contact or tread region coming into contact with the pedal of the bicycle an arcuate-shaped curvature upon which there is adjustably mounted a guide plate. This guide plate positions the shoe at the bicycle pedal and at the same time reinforces the shoe sole.

  • Patent number: 4419791
Abstract: A method of unrolling and piecing a lap and a lap drive for combing machines, lap drafters and similar machines having a driven pair of support rolls for supporting the lap to be unrolled for processing. One of the support rolls is uncoupled from its drive for unrolling and for piecing the fiber layer.

  • Patent number: 4389751
Abstract: The present invention concerns an apparatus for severing a fibre layer (3) composed of mutually slidable staple fibres, and containing two driven pairs of rolls (9/10; 11/12) forming two nip lines for the fibre layer (3) guided therebetween. Severing is achieved in that the two pairs of rolls (9/10; 11/12) are kinematically coupled using a flexible power transmitting element (19) in such a manner that by moving a roll tandem (26) contained in the path of movement of the power transmitting element (19) one pair of rolls (11/12) is rotated relative to the other one (9/10). Owing to this relative rotation of the pairs of rolls the fibre layer clamped between the nip lines is severed. This apparatus presents the advantage that its design is simple and reliable and that, in particular, no clutch is required.

  • Patent number: 4108388
Abstract: A method of and apparatus for catching, severing and sucking-off a continuously arriving thread and rethreading said thread onto a new empty bobbin tube, wherein the thread is caught in the zone of a thread traversing triangle, severed and continuously sucked off, retracted from the zone of the bobbin package and after the bobbin change the thread is inserted into the bobbin tube and the incoming thread is taken up by the bobbin tube and simultaneously is severed from the thread end extending to the suction device.

  • Patent number: 4052017
Abstract: A method of, and apparatus for, automatically changing textile bobbins on a cantilevered bobbin chuck of a textile winding machine, wherein there is cut and sucked-off a thread moving towards a textile bobbin package placed on the bobbin chuck, the textile bobbin package is removed from the stopped bobbin chuck and transferred to a bobbin transporting device held in readiness, then positioning an empty bobbin tube, placing the empty bobbin tube onto the stopped bobbin chuck, and rethreading the sucked-off thread onto the empty bobbin tube placed on the bobbin chuck which, in the meantime, has been set into rotation.

  • Patent number: 4039092
Abstract: A bobbin package storage box which is movable on at least one rail and provided with an endless chain revolving in a substantially vertical plane. A bobbin transfer point associated with a winding machine is located at a region along the path of travel of the chain. Bolts or pins provided on the chain support full textile bobbin packages. The chain extends substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction or the direction of movement respectively, of the storage box, and the position of the bolts at the bobbin transfer point is variable while the bolts in an idling position are maintained in a predetermined position.

  • Patent number: 4036446
Abstract: The bobbin chuck is provided with a pneumatically operated bobbin tube holding means and is arranged to be pivoted against a brake shoe to be braked to a standstill. The brake shoe is pivotally mounted about a remote axis and is movable radially of this axis when engaged by the rotating bobbin chuck. The brake shoe has a push-off piston which closes off a pneumatic connection from a pressurized chamber in the brake shoe and the bobbin tube holding means as the brake shoe is pivoted under the braking momentum generated by the bobbin chuck during braking. After braking and disappearance of the braking momentum, the pressure in the pressure chamber causes the brake shoe to pivot in the opposite direction and thus opens the pneumatic connection to the bobbin tube holding means. The tube is then released.

  • Patent number: 4023741
Abstract: Two bobbin tubes are mounted on a common bobbin chuck and a common thread severing means and suction means is used to sever and hold the threads during a bobbin change. After the threads are severed and drawn into the suction tube, a rod which carries two thread holders and the suction tube are pivoted into the thread path and around the fresh empty bobbin tubes on the chuck. A second pair of thread holders guide the threads during this time. After re-threading on the bobbin tubes, the rod and suction tube are returned to their initial positions to place the threads into respective reserve winding devices and thread guides.

  • Patent number: 4020997
Abstract: The combs which guide the thread to the bobbin tube are moved up and down relative to each other at a frequency at least equal to the rotational speed of the bobbin tube. The thread is initially caused to wind on the bobbin to form a waste bunch with subsequent up and down motion of the combs relative to each other causing a plurality of helically arranged distinctly spaced reserve windings.
