    Abstract: A miter saw with a pivotally rotatable extension includes a base, a worktable, a cutting member, and an extension member. The worktable is rotatably mounted to the base, and has a work surface corresponding to the top surface. The cutting member is connected to the worktable. The extension member is pivotally mounted to one of the lateral sides of the base. The extension member is convertible between an extended position and a retracted position relative to the base. The extension member has an extension surface. At the extended position, the extension surface is engaged to the top surface longitudinally for supporting a workpiece. At the retracted position, the extension surface is substantially perpendicular to the top surface for minimizing the size of the miter saw.
