Abstract: In a cloud computing device for synchronizing digital content with a client device, a first hash value and a second hash value in a media file are received from the client device, the media file comprising a plurality group of pictures (GOP) blocks and searching for payloads and headers based on the first hash value and the second hash value. Based on the searching step, edited portions of the media file are identified. For each edited portion, payload data is requested from the client device based on the first hash value and header data based on the second hash value. The payload data and the header data received from the client device are then stored.

Abstract: Systems and methods for performing secure playback of media content are described. One embodiment, among others, is a method for performing secure playback of video in a hardware protection module. The method comprises receiving media content from a media player comprising video data, audio data, and navigation data. The method further comprises receiving digital rights management (DRM) information relating to the media content, removing a portion of the video data from the media content, forwarding the audio data, navigation data, and a remaining portion of the video data to the media player for decoding, and decoding, in the hardware protection module, the portion of the video data.

Abstract: Included are embodiments of a method for collaborative editing. At least one embodiment includes receiving an indication to include at least one media effect with at least one media segment and sending at least one media attribute associated with the at least one media segment to a remote server. Some embodiments include receiving data related to at least one determined media effect, the at least one determined media effect being determined from the at least one media attribute.

Abstract: Systems and methods for incorporating restricted access to feature vectors are described. A method is described for storing and accessing feature vectors relating to individuals in digital images. One or more individuals are identified within photos, and feature vectors are generated for individuals in one or more photos. User profiles are downloaded from a database over a network. The feature vectors and downloaded user profiles are grouped. The face tagging system collects tags for the generated grouped feature vectors for generating enhanced user profiles for the individuals, and the enhanced user profiles are stored in a storage resource.

A method is described for storing and accessing feature vectors relating to individuals in digital images. One or more individuals are identified within photos, and feature vectors are generated for individuals in one or more photos. User profiles are downloaded from a database over a network. The feature vectors and downloaded user profiles are grouped. The face tagging system collects tags for the generated grouped feature vectors for generating enhanced user profiles for the individuals, and the enhanced user profiles are stored in a storage resource.

Abstract: Systems and methods for securely executing digital rights management software comprising content code are described. One method comprises receiving encrypted multimedia content and content code from a storage medium by a host processor, wherein the content code provides restricted content distribution by examining an environment in which a player application resides. Based on functions defined within the content code, the host processor partitions the content code into portions. Based on whether the functions corresponding to the portions are related to computations involving confidential data, commands and parameters related to the portions of the content code are generated and forwarded to a secure processor for decrypting the encrypted multimedia content.

The across-file-system file access system includes a file resource table generator and a file resource table reader. The file resource table generator creates and up-dates a file resource table, which associates file markers for files stored in a given partition with the physical addresses of the files within the given partition. The file resource table generator is run on top of a first operating system, and the given partition is managed by a file system that uses a file system table. The file resource table reader run on top of a second computer operating system, which cannot access the file system table of the file system. The file resource table reader reads the file resource table to provide access to the files listed in the file resource table.

Abstract: A method for activating video-audio data in an optical disc includes determining whether a first activation signal is received or not, a program in the optical disc allowing access to partially-featured contents of the video-audio data when the first activation signal is not received, and the program in the optical disc allowing access to fully-featured contents of the video-audio data when the first activation signal is received.

Abstract: The present invention disclosed a multiple display method. A media data is received and a first program corresponding to the media data is displayed on a first frame of a display device. The media data is analyzed to generate a second program according to a predetermined event. The second program is displayed on a second frame of the display device while displaying the first program on the first frame on a real time basis.

Abstract: A document decryption/encryption method is incorporated with local server software for dynamically decrypting a document when the document is read. The method packages the document by encrypting the document with encryption software, attaches a local server software with the encrypted document so as to generate a corresponding package file having the local server program and the encrypted document together, and executes the package file by a local host. A local server program is provided by executing the local server software and loading the server program into the system memory of the local host, and the document is dynamically decrypted by the local server program when the document is read by a reading device associated with the local server program so as to open the document.

Abstract: A method of searching and playing back video data based on caption-based information, first reads the caption-based information of video data and establishes a search table. The method performs searches according to the searching information entered by the user and lists all data that satisfy the requested words for the user to select. The video is then played according to the selected item. Therefore, the user can arbitrarily select a section of video data to play. This greatly simplifies the process of viewing video data.
