Abstract: An air textured yarn (ATY) is disclosed. The ATY includes a first filament having a first cross section, and a second filament disposed adjacent to the first filament having a second cross section, wherein the first cross section has a substantially circular shape and has a degree of modification (M ratio) less than or substantially equal to 1.3, the second cross section has a polygonal shape including 3 to 6 lobes, and a difference between a length of the first filament and a length of the second filament is less than or substantially equal to 4%. Further, a method of manufacturing the ATY is also disclosed.

Abstract: A multi-lobed fiber includes a fiber and additives. The fiber has a cross-section including a core portion and a plurality of lobes. Each of the lobes includes an inner end connected to the core portion, and an outer end protruding from the core portion. The additives are disposed in the fiber. Each of the additives includes an outer point distal to the core portion, and the outer point of the additive is closer to the core portion than the outer end of the lobe.

Abstract: A woven fabric includes a plurality of interlaced multifilament yarns, wherein at least one of the multifilament yarns includes first and second filaments having a pentagram cross-section, and the first and second filaments have a degree of modification between 1.4 and 2.6. The woven fabric has at least one surface calendered so that at least part of the multifilament yarns are compressed and the first and second filaments interlock with one another to retain low air permeability after repeated washing.
