  • Publication number: 20080100997
Abstract: A monitor turning device includes a base with a box connected thereon and a gear unit is received in the box and driven by a driving member. The gear unit includes a pivotable output gear which has two output members. A disk unit includes a first disk located on a top of the box and a second disk is overlapped on the first disk with a friction-reduction member located therebetween. The connection members extend through slots defined in the box and the first disk and are connected to the second disk. A monitor is connected to the second disk by a frame so that when the output gear is pivoted, the second disk together with the monitor is rotated an angle. The driving member can be controlled by remote control.

  • Patent number: 6098475
Abstract: A leverage mechanism actuating device includes a drive member with an output shaft to drive rotatably a rotary body around an axis. A force transmission member is moved relative to the rotary body between first and second positions by a centrifugal force generated by a rotary driving force applied by the output shaft on the rotary body. Movement of the force transmission member enables the force transmission member to convert the rotary driving force into a translational lifting force in a direction parallel to the axis. A leverage mechanism includes a fulcrum, and first and second locations. The first location is associated operably with the force transmission member. The second location is adapted to be connected to a toy. Thus, the first location is actuated by the translational lifting force of the force transmission member to result in a power output at the second location for initiating motion of the toy.

  • Patent number: 5839941
Abstract: A toy car includes a chassis, a power supplying mechanism disposed on the chassis, a cover attached to and above the chassis, a swinging unit mounted swingably on the cover, a cam wheel disposed rotatably on the chassis, and a driving wheel unit. A transmission is disposed between the power supplying mechanism and the cam wheel and between the power supplying mechanism and the driving wheel unit so as to rotate the driving wheel unit and the cam wheel by actuation of the power supplying mechanism and so as to reverse the rotational direction of the driving wheel unit and the cam wheel upon collision of the car with a stationary object. A follower unit interconnects the swinging unit and the cam wheel so as to rotate the swinging unit between a first position and a second position relative to the cover upon rotation of the cam wheel on the chassis in a first direction.

  • Patent number: 5741169
Abstract: A climbing device includes a hollow housing, a rotary drive unit, and a direction changing gear set having a main drive gear coupled to the drive unit, a transmission gear meshing with the main drive gear, first and second direction changing gears, a driven gear driven rotatably by one of the first and second direction changing gears, and a bevel gear mounted coaxially on the driven gear. A rotary wheel set is driven rotatably by the transmission gear to result in movement of the housing on a ground surface. A shift unit is disposed in the housing and has the first and second direction changing gears mounted rotatably thereon.

  • Patent number: 5320572
Abstract: A toy is hung and is movable on a cord between an upper limit position and a lower limit position. The toy includes a frame unit, a driving device, a planetary gearing, and a cord winding gearing assembly. The driving device has a power source installed on the frame unit, and a first output shaft journalled on the frame unit and driven by the power source. The sun gear of the planetary gearing is sleeved fixedly on the first output shaft so that, when driven by the driving device, the planetary gear of the planetary gearing rotates about the first output shaft. A return spring interconnects the frame unit and the cord winding gearing assembly so as to bias the driving gear of the cord winding gearing assembly to engage the planetary gear of the planetary gearing. The cord winding gearing assembly includes a reel connected to the cord winding gearing assembly so as to be driven by the power source to rotate in a direction, thereby winding the cord thereon.

  • Patent number: 5279170
Abstract: A jumping mechanism includes a support frame and a swing arm pivoted to the support frame. A U-shaped leg has a pair of vertically extending parts which are mounted pivotally to the swing arm. The support frame is movable relative to the vertically extending parts in a vertical direction. A jumping control unit has a rotary cam plate which is mounted on the support frame and which rotates in a predetermined direction. The cam plate is disposed below and has a periphery which abuts with an outward projection of the swing arm. One end of a tension spring is hooked to an upper rear end of the swing arm, while the other end thereof is hooked to an upper front end of the support frame. Rotation of the cam plate initially causes the cam plate to urge the outward projection upward so as to cause the swing arm to pivot upwardly from a first position relative to the support frame.
