Abstract: A molded plastic fixing structure for a chassis which includes a chassis having upper and lower surfaces and an opening; a boss disposed in the opening in the chassis and extending above the upper surface of the chassis; at least one of upper and lower boss supporting sections integrally formed with the boss, the boss supporting sections being flush with and not extending beyond the corresponding chassis surface; and a fixing support groove recessed around the central opening and disposed in at least one of the upper and lower surfaces of the chassis, at least one of the upper and lower boss supporting sections being molded in the corresponding fixing support groove.

Abstract: An improved cassette tape holder locking apparatus for a video cassette tape recorder capable of achieving a better cassette tape placing operation by locking the cassette holder at both sides of a housing bracket, which includes a first holder locking member rotatably disposed to the side plate for limiting a loading operation of the cassette holder after the cassette holder is lowered; and a second holder locking member rotatably disposed at a deck surface of the opposed side of the side plate and driven by a drive member provided at the deck surface for limiting a lifting operation of the cassette holder.

Abstract: An idler gear transfer control apparatus for a reel drive apparatus of a VCR, is disclosed, wherein the VCR includes a reversible motor, a base, a shaft disposed at the base, an input gear rotatably disposed on the shaft for receiving a driving force from the motor, and an idler arm having one end rotatably connected to the shaft and another end carrying an idler gear connected to the input gear, the idler arm being movable about the shaft for engaging the input gear, the idler arm being movable about the shaft for engaging the idler gear selectively with a supply reel gear or a take-up reel gear, whereby the driving force of the motor is selectively transferred to the supply reel gear or the tape-up reel gear in accordance with a rotation direction of the input gear.

Abstract: An improved tension arm driving apparatus for a video cassette tape recorder capable of achieving a stable tape running state by preventing a tape jog in a high speed tape rewinding mode, includes a loading gear member for winding a tape around a head drum, and a high speed winding member for rotating upper and lower gears at the same time in cooperation with the loading gear member, so that the upper and lower gears integrally rotate in the high speed winding mode and tape jogging is prevented during the high speed winding mode.

Abstract: A slant post base mounting mechanism for a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus includes a support for preventing movement of an adjusting screw, the support having an elastic member mounted on upper surface thereof and a plate spring formed with a clamp shaped, a v-type stopper having holes formed on an upper and a vertical surfaces thereof, respectively. Also, the plate spring includes a guide portion formed on a lower surface thereof, the guide portion being in contact with the protrusion of the slant post base in order to support the adjusting screw, and a slant portion formed at an end of the guide portion, the slant portion being movably inserted in a hole formed at a vertical surface of the V-type stopper.
