Patent number: 10976086Abstract: An air conditioner and a method for controlling the same are disclosed. The air conditioner implements a multistage expansion scheme by implementing serial connection between electronic expansion valves including in the R410A refrigerant-based air conditioner, and thus guarantees an optimum compression ratio in all cooling/heating load regions. Therefore, although cycle characteristics are changed by changing R410A refrigerant to R32 refrigerant, the air conditioner optimizes the cycle simply by controlling a degree of opening of electronic expansion valves, respectively. As described above, since the cycle optimization is implemented using the multistage expansion scheme in which legacy electronic expansion valves are coupled in series, the design modification is minimized without design modification of requisite constituent elements such as a heat exchanger, system implementation is facilitated, resulting in high efficiency in cost and productivity.Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 2018Date of Patent: April 13, 2021Assignee: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD.Inventors: Kil Soo Son, Seok Kyun Kim, Jong-Yeop Baek, Byoung-Ok Ahn, Dong-Ho Cho, Hyun Kook Kim, Hyo-Jun Shin, Sang Ho Yoo, Hong Seok Jun

Patent number: 9290388Abstract: Disclosed is a carbonaceous nanocomposite including: a substrate; a graphene sheet formed on a top surface of the substrate in parallel with the substrate; and a carbonaceous nanomaterial provided on another surface of the graphene sheet, the nanomaterial having an aspect ratio of 2 to 75,000 to make a predetermined angle with the graphene sheet. The carbonaceous nanocomposite according to the present disclosure has excellent adhesivity to the substrate and can be attached to the substrate without undergoing a pasting process. Since a two-directional current flow is generated, the electrical resistance of the graphene and carbon nanotube is considerably reduced. In addition, the graphene allows the carbon nanotube to have a high current density and a high specific surface area, thereby accelerating a redox reaction. The excellent heat-radiating property of the graphene sheet allows fast transfer of heat generated in the carbon nanotube to outside, thereby avoiding degradation of the carbon nanotube.Type: GrantFiled: May 20, 2010Date of Patent: March 22, 2016Assignee: INJE UNIVERSITY INDUSTRY-ACADEMIC COOPERATION FOUNDATIONInventors: Min-Hyon Jeon, Hyon-Kwang Choi, Sook-Hyun Hwang, Hyun-Kook Kim
