  • Publication number: 20220002572
Abstract: A hydrophilic coating composition and a hydrophilic coating method using the same are disclosed. The hydrophilic coating composition can include a first coating solution, a second coating solution, and a crosslinking agent. The first coating solution includes a polyurethane-based compound, and the second coating solution includes a polysaccharide. The coating composition can provide a coating that is strongly hydrophilic, highly biocompatible, thin, and flexible. Thus, when the coating composition is applied to an invasive medical device, lubricity can be greatly increased, thereby preventing damage to the human body, such as injury, tissue abrasion and the like.

  • Publication number: 20220002571
Abstract: This application relates to a composition for hydrophilic coating and a hydrophilic coating method using the same. The composition may include a first coating solution comprising an acrylic compound, a second coating solution comprising a polysaccharide and a crosslinking agent. The hydrophilic coating can form a coating, which is highly hydrophilic, has great biocompatibility, and is thin and flexible. Therefore, when the composition is coated on an invasive medical device, lubricity can be greatly improved, and thus there is an advantage of preventing damage to the human body, such as injury, tissue wear, and the like.

  • Patent number: 11213849
Abstract: An apparatus for coating an inner surface of a medical tube includes a housing, an injection unit, a drying unit, and a supply unit. The housing defines an external shape of the apparatus and provides a workspace. The injection unit is positioned in an upper portion of the workspace and injects a coating fluid into a medical tube connected to a nozzle tip formed at a lower end thereof. The drying unit is positioned on the injection unit and dries the coating fluid introduced into the medical tube. The supply unit positioned in a lower portion of the workspace and collects a residual coating fluid discharged from a lower end of the medical tube and transfers the collected residual coating fluid to a supply valve of the injection unit. The apparatus can easily, uniformly, and efficiently coat the inner surface of a long medical tube such as a catheter.

  • Patent number: 6296972
Abstract: A LiCoO2-coated NiO cathode for molten carbonate fuel cell is provided, wherein the cathode is prepared by dissolving a stoichiometric amount of lithium salts and cobalt salts in a solvent with or without adding a chelating agent to give a sol or a mixed solution, impregnating a NiO electrode for MCFC into the sol or the mixed solution, and drying and calcining the resulting electrode. By using the cathode of the invention, lifetime of the cell can be extended by two or more times while maintaining cell performance.

  • Patent number: 6153257
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cathode, which can be used in molten carbonate fuel cells (hereinafter, referred to as an "MCFC"), and a process for preparing the same. In such a cathode, NiO, which is inexpensive and has relatively good electrochemical performance, has been mainly used. However, NiO has a relatively large solubility in electrolytes of an MCFC which causes the cells to be short circuited, thereby shortening the life of the cells. However, according to the present invention, a cathode having a longer life than common cathodes for MCFC can be prepared by adding alkaline earth metal oxides, which are basic substances, to NiO, the main material of the cathodes, or impregnating an Ni plate with a solution of the alkaline earth metal oxides, to reduce the solubility of the NiO while maintaining its performance as the cathode.
