  • Patent number: 11258746
Abstract: Techniques for managing notifications to be presented by user devices are described. In an example, a computer system associates a first user account with a user device and stores first data indicating that a notification about a communications session via a communications network system is prohibited. The computer system receives a request associated with the first user account for communications with another device via the communications network system. Based at least in part on the other device, the computer system generates second data indicating that the notification about the communications session is to be presented within a period of time of the communications session being requested. The computer system associates the first user account with the second data.

  • Patent number: 8423899
Abstract: Techniques for providing a single text field and multiple different types of user input modes for inputting information into the single text field are described herein. In some instances, a user may enter a first portion of text into the text field in a first user input mode before inputting a second portion of text into the field in a second user input mode. The techniques may enforce a first set of rules associated with the first user input mode while the user enters the first portion of text. The techniques may then enforce a second, different set of rules associated with the second user input mode while the user enters the second portion of text. As such, the techniques enable a user to provide two or more different pieces of information into a single text field.

  • Publication number: 20130080333
Abstract: A user may instruct a host to transmit an allocation of electronic money to the user's mobile electronic device from a user's payment account managed by the host. The allocation may include credentials, authentication key(s), a signature, a limited amount of funds, and/or other types of payment information. The allocation may be limited to the amount of funds that, when exhausted or expired, prevents further payments using the mobile electronic device. The user may reload the mobile electronic device with electronic money by reconnecting to the host via the secure channel. The user may spend the allocation using the electronic device with use of minimal or no user-based security measures (e.g., passwords, biometrics, etc.), thereby making it quick and easy to make payments with the electronic money.
