Abstract: Bathing enclosures, and methods for assembling them, are disclosed. They are provided with connectors in the form of first and second supports, a clip, and a fastener. The supports are mounted on the upper and lower portions of the enclosure respectively and have through bores and an outer projection. The clips attach on the exterior of the projections to align the supports. The fastener such as a bolt passes through the through bores to clamp the supports together. The clips permit one set of supports to be aligned and loosely bolted together while another set of supports are held apart by a washer in order to provide a defined gap for caulking with silicone or other sealant.

Abstract: A knock down type bathing enclosure is disclosed which is manufactured as a one-piece plumbing fixture, cut into two or more portions for transportation, and assembled at an installation site. In addition to having a clamping system to clamp an upper and lower portion together vertically, there is provided a corner web structure which provides for horizontal alignment through the use of a C-shaped clip and aligned ribs.

Abstract: A knockdown type bathing enclosure is disclosed. It can be manufactured as a one-piece plumbing fixture, cut into portions for transportation, and assembled at the installation site. The bathing enclosure has a joining strip attached to an external side of a wall structure. The joining strip has an attachment surface for abutting the wall structure, and an outer tubular bulge. The joining strip and the wall structure are cut into portions along a plane passing through the tubular bulge. A plurality of locator members are then inserted into an internal slot formed in each portion of the cut tubular bulge. Guided into proper alignment by the locator members, the cut portions are then fastened together using a clamp member.

Abstract: A water engine comprises two floats arranged to reciprocate vertically in respective water chambers. Water is admitted to each chamber in turn from a head of water and then allowed to exhaust to a lower level, thereby causing the floats to rise and fall. The floats drive a pivotally mounted beam and power is derived from the beam movement by means of hydraulic rams.
