  • Patent number: 11668674
Abstract: An elution apparatus and a detection apparatus are described. The elution apparatus includes: a sample trap for trapping a sample; and one or more pumps and/or valves to move a liquid eluent and a liquid eluate, wherein the eluate includes an extracted portion of the sample that is extracted by the eluent. The detection apparatus includes: a capillary having a low-voltage (LV) end portion to receive a sample; and a conductivity detector coupled to a high-voltage (HV) end portion of the capillary to generate signals based on conductivity of a monitored portion of the capillary in the HV end portion, wherein the conductivity detector is electrically isolated from the LV end portion.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 15, 2017
Date of Patent: June 6, 2023
    Assignee: GREYSCAN PTY LTD
Inventors: Graham William Lyford, Michael Smith, Alistair Stuart Webb, Adam John Cusick, Leigh Ryan, Ian Emil Sohn

  • Patent number: 8900857
Abstract: A mould and tissue cassette for automated embedding of tissue, and a method of operation are disclosed. The mould attaches to the cassette prior to embedding, and fits into a rack. The rack supports the mould holding the tissue cassette when the mould and cassette are in a first position. When the mould and cassette are moved to a second position, a projection on the rack separates the mould from the cassette, to facilitate easy removal. Also disclosed is a mould for a tissue cassette having projections for holding the mould to a rack, so that the tissue cassette is not in contact with the mould.

  • Publication number: 20090100636
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner base includes a source of suction and front wheels and rear wheels for wheeling the base across a floor. A nozzle assembly is attached to and supported by the base. The nozzle assembly includes a suction inlet and a sheet-pressing surface that are located in front of the front wheels. A disposable sheet is configured to be removably attached to the nozzle assembly such that, as the base is wheeled across the floor, the sheet-pressing surface presses the sheet against the floor to dislodge dirt from the floor, and the suction draws the dirt from the floor through the suction inlet.

  • Publication number: 20090089966
Abstract: An apparatus is configured for use with a vacuum cleaner filter bag having a collar panel with an inlet opening. A support structure receives the panel in an installed position in which a tubular part of the vacuum cleaner extends into the bag through the inlet opening. The support structure includes a tab that retains the panel in the installed position. The support structure further includes a pivot that abuts an edge of the panel to guide movement of the panel into the installed position pivotally about the abutting edge.
