  • Patent number: 10676960
Abstract: There is described a handle, for example a door handle, lifting handle or touch pad, which is particularly useful as a self-sterilizing door handle for use in public areas. The handle comprises: a contact area formed of a hydrophilic sintered porous material, particularly a plastic material; and a reservoir containing an anti-microbial liquid, wherein said reservoir is fluidically connected to the contact area. The reservoir can include a port to allow the reservoir to be re-filled or alternatively the whole reservoir can be detached and replaced when required. The anti-microbial liquid can be delivered along the hydrophilic sintered porous material by fluid transmission action so that the contact area is continually treated by the anti-microbial liquid, thereby rendering the handle continuously wetted and disinfected and inhibiting the growth of culture forming units.

  • Publication number: 20200024932
Abstract: A method for ranking performance of each production well in a plurality of production wells includes sensing a production parameter value for each production well using a sensor and receiving the production parameter value for each production well using a processor. The method also includes performing two or more different calculations for each production well using the production parameter value, each calculation providing a calculated performance indicator, multiplying each calculated performance indicator by a weight factor to provide a weighted performance indicator; and summing each of the weighted performance indicators for each production well to provide a unit-less performance index value for each production well.

  • Patent number: 10457944
Abstract: Molecules are provided for inducing or facilitating exon skipping in forming spliced mRNA products from pre-mRNA molecules in cells. The molecules may be provided directly as oligonucleotides or expression products of vectors that are administered to a subject. High rates of skipping can be achieved. High rates of skipping reduce the severity of a disease like Duchene Muscular Dystrophy so that the disease is more like Becker Muscular Dystrophy. This is a severe reduction in symptom severity and mortality.

  • Publication number: 20190240575
Abstract: A system, computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and a computer-implemented method for generating game configurations are presented. For example, a system may receive a game configuration request message from a client device being operated by a player playing a virtual game. The game configuration request message may be sent, for example, in response to the player initiating a new game of the virtual game. The system may then select a game configuration based at least in part on historical performance data associated with the selected game configuration. The historical performance data may accumulate performance data from a group of players that previously played the virtual game using the selected game configuration. The system then communicates the selected game configuration to the client device. The player may play the virtual game using the selected game configuration as the initial game configuration for the virtual game.
