  • Publication number: 20240135786
Abstract: A valuable media sanitizing/cleansing cassette is provided for sanitizing/cleansing surfaces of valuable media dispensed to a consumer during a dispense transaction at a transaction terminal. Dispensed media is urged from one or more media cassettes within the terminal along a transport path. The transport path is altered to pass the media through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette where the top and bottom surfaces of the media are illuminated with Ultraviolet (UV) radiation to eradicate any bacteria or virus that may be adhered to the top or the bottom surfaces of the media. Once the media passes through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette, the now sanitized/cleansed media is urged along a remainder of the transport path and dispensed from a media interface of the terminal to the consumer. In an embodiment, media deposited at the terminal is also sanitized/cleansed by passing through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette before being stored in the appropriate media cassettes.

  • Patent number: 11966397
Abstract: A graph database for outbreak tracking and management is disclosed. In an example embodiment, an outbreak management system includes a memory device storing instructions that define a graph database for disease outbreak tracking. The instructions specify for a given host that a host node is created and an episode node is connected to the host node via a ‘case’ link. The episode node is associated with episode parameters that are related to a disease classification of the host. In addition, the instructions specify that an outbreak node is connected to the episode node via a ‘part of’ link to indicate that the host has become part of an outbreak of the disease. The outbreak node is connected to a definition node via a ‘defined as’ link. The definition node specifies disease parameters of the disease that is related to the outbreak node.

  • Publication number: 20240079714
Abstract: A system for preventing thermal runaway among battery modules utilized to power equipment. The system may also be utilized to prevent thermal runaway within a battery module among battery cells on an intra-modular basis. The system is beneficial for equipment with an occupant space for accommodating an operator of the equipment. Thermal runaway may be avoided by the active use of a flow control device directed at a housing space containing a battery module that may be prone to failure. Specifically, air may be driven into the housing or drawn from the housing during the emergence of an unintended energy release from the battery module so as to prevent the thermal runaway. Further, directing the energy release away from the battery module includes routing the energy release away from other modules and the occupant space.

  • Publication number: 20240073003
Abstract: A method of data transfer from a tenant to a service provider comprises encrypting the data with a public key of a key pair generated by a secure device within the service provider system. The data thus cannot be accessed by the service provider during transmission. The data is generated with a corresponding access control list, which specifies that a valid certificate must be presented in order to grant a particular use of the data once stored. The tenant can thus retain control of the use of the data even though it has been transferred out of the tenant system. A method of controlling use of data securely stored in the service provider system comprises issuing a use certificate having an expiry time to the party requesting use of the data. The use certificate must be validated before use of the stored data is granted. This enables the tenant to grant use of the stored data for a limited time period.

  • Patent number: 11810321
Abstract: Methods and systems for image clustering are described, and include first receiving a plurality of images from a video of a game. Next, determining a first feature vector of a first player from the plurality of images by inputting the plurality of images to an artificial intelligence (AI)-based process. Next, dividing the plurality of images into a first subset of images and a second subset of images based on the first feature vector. Next, receiving a first identifier tagging the first player in a first image of the first subset. Finally, identifying a second player in a second image in the second subset by propagating the first identifier of the first subset, based on a distance measure associated with the first feature vector from the artificial intelligence (AI)-based process. Running on a mobile computing device, the method allows multiplayer tagging to be easily performed in almost any environment.
