  • Patent number: 6592192
Abstract: In a brake pressure control system for ABS control, traction control or vehicle motion control, a control unit controls each of pressure control solenoid valves in a PWM (pulse width modulation) control mode to prevent pulsation in the wheel cylinder pressure during the presence of a predetermined temperature or pressure condition, and a non-PWM control mode in the absence of the predetermined condition. The control unit includes a process section such as a computer and a PWM switch section including subsections each for a unique one of the solenoid valves. The process section has a single PWM port connected through a PWM signal line to each subsection of the PWM switch section.

  • Patent number: 6113197
Abstract: A wheel braking system comprises a motor driven gear pump, a relief line connecting the pump discharge to the pump intake, a wheel brake unit connected to the pump discharge, and a flow restriction in the relief line. A control unit controls the motor for the pump in response to an output signal of a brake pedal sensor. The brake pedal sensor generates the output signal indicative of the brake pedal stamping force. The control unit determines a desired motor speed for the sensed brake pedal stamping force and operates the motor.

  • Patent number: 5374113
Abstract: A brake-fluid reflux type anti-skid brake control system for an automotive vehicle, comprises a main brake-fluid line fluidly disposed between a master cylinder and a wheel cylinder for supplying a brake fluid from the master cylinder to the wheel cylinder during usual braking, a brake-fluid reflux line arranged in parallel with the main line for returning the brake fluid from the wheel cylinder to the master cylinder side during operation of the system, directional control valves arranged for controlling the respective fluid flow in the main brake-fluid line and in the reflux line, depending upon a skidding condition of a vehicle wheel, and a plunger type control valve arranged between the outlet port of the master cylinder and an upstream junction of the main line and the reflux line.

  • Patent number: 5224767
Abstract: A hydraulic actuator for a skid control hydraulic brake system comprises a casing having a master cylinder side port and a cover having a wheey cylinder side port. The wheel cylinder side port is positioned generally between an inflow solenoid valve and an outflow solenoid valve. The inflow and outflow solenoid valves define on their upper clearances, respectively. A three dimensionally curved pipe is embedded, by molding, in the cover to conduct fluid from the clearances to the wheel cylinder side port.

  • Patent number: 5066075
Abstract: An actuator unit for an anti-skid brake system for an automotive vehicle, employs a built-in structure, in which all components, such as an EV valve, an AV valve, a pressure accumulator, an one-way check valve and so forth, are built-in a single cast block casing. Especially, fluid flow paths are formed integrally with the casing for enabling the overall unit compact enough for facilitating in the limited space in a vehicular body.
