  • Publication number: 20140116256
Abstract: A particle condensing apparatus includes a gas-borne particle condensing device that condenses a gas that includes gas-borne particles. The gas-borne particle condensing device includes a cyclone portion that causes a supplied first gas to swirl along an inner wall face to cause centrifugal force to act on particles in the first gas to produce a second gas with a relatively high particle concentration and a third gas with a low particle concentration. A fluorocarbon polymer film is formed on an inner wall face of the cyclone portion.

  • Patent number: 6400887
Abstract: An SDDI signal in accordance with an AV signal is selectively recorded in an MO disc 6 of a portable AV editing apparatus 1 from a hybrid recorder 20 provided with an on-line editing function. The user carries the portable AV editing apparatus 1 around separate from the hybrid recorder 20 and uses the SDDI signal recorded in the MO disc 6 to perform off-line editing and prepare an EDL (edit decision list). • Patent number: 6275529
Abstract: A method of transmitting news data with script can simultaneously transmit video information and corresponding added information such as gathered news information to a news center from a news gathering field by use of an existing news transmission system. Digital video data, obtained by a video camera in a field, is timebase-compressed, and digital audio data is prepared on the basis of an audio signal. Added information such as script information is prepared as digital added information, and composite news data is generated by time-division-mixing these video data, audio data, and added information data. The composite news data is transmitted to a video receiving station by use of a news gathering system. In the video receiving station, the composite news data is time-division-distributed, and the time-division-distributed data is timebase-expanded, and combined with time-division-distributed audio data thereby to generate a video image signal.

  • Patent number: 5383071
Abstract: A tracking control apparatus is capable of decreasing sufficiently the effects of crosstalks in effectively utilizing the azimuth angle by tracking controlling the magnetic head in order that the scanning position of the magnetic head will be deviated to the prescribed direction and quantity. In case of tracking controlling the magnetic head depending upon the first and second error signals formed in order to correspond to the frequency difference element between the pilot signal of the adjacent recording track and the pilot signal of the scanning recording track, since the first and second error signals are to be weighted with the prescribed ratio, the scanning position of the magnetic head can be deviated to the position where the crosstalk of the reproducing signals can be sufficiently decreased for practical use.

  • Patent number: 5276517
Abstract: An equalization circuit for a reproduced video signal detects the levels of a reference signal in two different frequency bands and, based on a comparison of the detected levels, selects an equalization curve from a memory and controls the equalization characteristic of an equalizer in the signal path based on the selected equalization curve. For a video frequency signal, low-pass and high-pass filters provide the two frequency bands for level checking and for a radio frequency signal two bandpass filters provide the frequency bands of interest located above and below the center color carrier frequency. A memory contains a number of equalization curves, one of which is selected based upon a comparison using the detected reference signal levels that is performed in a central processing unit.

  • Patent number: 5189565
Abstract: A slew rate converter is provided in a video signal recording circuit for limiting a signal having a high frequency and a high amplitude so as to avoid an over-modulation when the signal is reproduced. The high frequency and high amplitude component exceeding a pre-determined amplitude is detected and applied to the slew rate converter for reducing its slew rate so that the signal component having the high frequency and high amplitude is suppressed.

  • Patent number: 4885639
Abstract: An apparatus for eliminating a noise from a video signal, employs a first-order type noise eliminating section, for example, a limiter or the like. Such noise eliminating section, by utilizing line correlation, eliminates noise from the video signal in a high frequency region where the signal component level is large, for example, at the portion of a video signal corresponding to an edge portion of the display or picture.

  • Patent number: 4839615
Abstract: A frequency modulating circuit comprising a circuit for separating a synchronizing signal from an input signal, a circuit for generating a sampling pulse in accordance with the synchronizing signal, a circuit for producing a frequency modulated signal out of the input signal, and a circuit for detecting the phase of the frequency modulated signal at the timing of the sampling pulse. The level of the input signal is corrected in accordance with the output of the detecting circuit, so that the phase of the frequency modulated signal is locked to a predetermined phase at the timing of the sampling pulse. Consequently, despite frequency modulation of the wide-band input signal, the invention is capable of preventing occurrence of any moire pattern that may otherwise be caused in displaying the demodulated signal.

  • Patent number: 4661842
Abstract: When separating a composite video signal into a luminance signal component and the chrominance signal component by the use of filtering, a high frequency cross-talk component of the luminance signal is present in the chrominance signal and this may be cancelled using a horizontal correlator that imparts time delays and detects maximum and minimum levels relative to a reference level. In such luminance cross-talk cancellation by means of the horizontal correlator the usable chrominance signal length is shortened by almost one wave length out of four, thereby reducing the usable chrominance signal each time such luminance/chrominance signal separation occurs in a dubbing operation, for example. By utilizing two chroma separators in series each including a nonadditive mixer circuit, the resultant output from the second chroma separator circuit has substantially the same length as the portion of the composite video signal fed as the input.

  • Patent number: 4481547
Abstract: In a circuit for processing a video signal to be recorded, for example, in a VTR, as a frequency modulation of a relatively high frequency carrier, and in which, in advance of such frequency modulation and for the purpose of improving the signal-to-noise ratio particularly in respect to the so-called FM noise, the video signal is pre-emphasized and then clipped at a predetermined level for avoiding over-modulation; a compensating circuit responds to the pre-emphasized video signal for widening those overshoots thereof which are to be clipped and thereby avoiding waveform distortions that would otherwise occur at the locations of the clipped overshoots when the recorded signal is reproduced, frequency demodulated and then de-emphasized complementarily to the original pre-emphasis.

  • Patent number: 4355333
Abstract: A video signal processing circuit using a comb filter which includes a delay circuit having delay time of one or two horizontal scan intervals. The comb filter has first and second mixing means to split chrominance signals and luminance signals. The first mixing means is provided with the input and output signals of the delay circuit in opposite polarity to each other. The second mixing means is provided with an inverted output of the first mixing means and the non-delayed input of the first mixing means. The separated signals from the first and second mixing means are respectively processed through processing circuits such as noise canceller circuits and emphasis circuits. The two processed signals are mixed in a third mixing means to synthesize a composite color video signal without distortion, false signals or delays at the edges of the input signal.

  • Patent number: 4120007
Abstract: Head switching control apparatus for use in video signal processing apparatus of the type comprised of plural rotary transducer heads which scan successive tracks across a recording medium, each track having recorded therein a composite video signal. The head switching control apparatus functions to selectively connect individual transducer heads, one at a time, to video signal receiving circuitry. This head switching control apparatus is comprised of a position pulse generator for generating position pulses representing the relative positions of the transducer heads with respect to the recording medium. A bi-state circuit is conditioned in first and second states in response to successive position pulses. Switching circuitry is coupled to the transducer heads to electrically connect individual ones of the heads to the video signal receiving circuitry.
