  • Publication number: 20130141456
Abstract: Techniques for automatic modification of an image for display on a different device are presented. A content management component can analyze image content associated with a first image display frame, wherein the image content can be displayed in the first image display frame in accordance with a first subset of display characteristics of a first display. In relation to displaying the image content within a second image display frame on a second display, the content management component can automatically or dynamically modify the image content for display in the second image display frame on the second display so that the image content is displayed in the second image display frame to at least substantially correspond to the display of the image content in the first image display frame, in accordance with a second subset of display characteristics of the second display.

  • Publication number: 20130139196
Abstract: Providing for automated network-related user authentication in conjunction with video on demand streaming media services is described herein. A network-enabled media playback device, such as a television, can be configured to initiate a network process in response to being powered-on. The network process can facilitate access to a network data store, where stored data indicative of authorization status of one or more user accounts can be obtained, and used for loading account preferences associated with a user. Where no accounts are authorized, a login and authorization message is sent to a communication account associated with the network-enabled playback device to facilitate authenticating and logging a user into the network-enabled playback device. Particular aspects provide for filtering media content based on user preferences and account profile information, and displaying a subset of preferred content, or automatically initiating playback of a selected media program for the user account.

  • Publication number: 20120311624
Abstract: Described herein are systems, methods, and articles of manufacture that facilitate creation, editing, and sharing of video quotes. A video quote can be created based on user input. For example, the video quote can be created based on a time range selected by a user. The video quote can also include comments from the user. In order to create the video quote, the user can be authenticated and/or permissions of the user related to viewing, editing and/or sharing of the video can be verified. If permissions are verified, the user can edit the content of the video quote, for example, by changing the time range and/or including different comments. The video quote can be shared, for example, on a social network and/or via e-mail.

  • Publication number: 20120187340
Abstract: The object of the invention is to producing ultras bright fluorescent silica particles by synthesizing large nanopore silica particles with self sealed channels/pores and then stopping the synthesizing before large nanopore silica particles have been formed, wherein said sintering solution has produced nanoparticles. The large nanopore silica particles are micron size. The synthesizing is stopped by diluting said synthesizing solution with a neutralizing medium such as an aqueous solution of definite acidity of pH7 and higher an exemplary value of pH11 (sodium hydroxide). The time range for stopping the synthesizing ranges from tens of seconds to ten of minutes.
