    Abstract: An image processing apparatus including a displaying part, a light source generating light and a display driving part displaying an image on the displaying part by controlling the intensity of the light generated by the light source on the basis of one of a plurality of image signals. A light shutting part passes or shuts out the light generated by the light source; and a controlling part controls the light shutting part to shut the light generated by the light source while the image signal which has been displayed on the displaying part is being changed into other one of the plurality of image signals. Thus, the present invention provides an image processing apparatus and an image processing method to prevent a transitional phenomenon from occurring when an image is changed.

    Abstract: A three-dimensional (3D) image display apparatus, a method and a system which process a 3D image signal are provided. The 3D image display apparatus includes an input unit which receives an input of a left-eye image frame and a right-eye image frame with a specified time difference between the frames, a 3D image frame generation unit which generates a 3D image frame by extracting part of pixels from the left-eye image frame and extracting part of pixels from the right-eye image frame, and a projection unit which divides the 3D image frame into a left-eye image sub-frame and a right-eye image sub-frame and successively projects the divided sub-frames on a screen. Accordingly, the 3D image signal is divided into the left-eye image frame and the right-eye image frame, and thus the scaling of the image signal and the improvement of the image quality allow a clearer image to be presented.

The color wheel index aligning apparatus has a signal supply unit for supplying a predetermined image signal to the display apparatus, a color detection unit for detecting the color of the image signal output to the screen, a storage unit for storing a color coordinate value, and a control unit for measuring the color coordinate of the color detected at the color detection unit based on the color coordinates stored in the storage unit, and using the measured color coordinate value, providing the display apparatus with an alignment value for aligning the color wheel index. Increasing and decreasing the delay time of the output timing of an R, G and B color signal in correspondence with the increase and decrease of the alignment value, the display apparatus automatically adjusts aligns the color wheel index.
