  • Patent number: 4858012
Abstract: There is connected to a video camera having automatically controllable shooting features a memory unit in which a program for setting those features is stored. A control circuit in the camera reads out the program from the memory unit upon actuation of a program button. The control circuit is responsive to actuation of the shooting start/stop button to control the shooting features under the conditions and sequence prescribed by the program. The shooting sequence proceeds in response to each actuation of the shooting start/stop button. Upon actuation of a program skip button or a pause program button, the shooting feature to be performed next in the program may be skipped or reserved. In this manner, the operator may learn or make an effective use of the shooting features of the camera merely by actuating the shooting start/stop button.

  • Patent number: 4804992
Abstract: A disposable film package of the type having a taking lens comprises a film casing; a film cartridge containing a high speed film therein in said film casing; a viewfinder; and a scene brightness indicating member disposed in the viewfinder. The indicating member becomes visible or invisible according to scene brightness conditions. When the indicating member becomes visible, the photographer is thus given warning that an improper exposure would result.

  • Patent number: 4788603
Abstract: The camera according to the present invention includes a reference optical system and a telescopic optical system. After photographing the subject using the reference optical system, a close-up of the subject is photographed using the telescopic optical system. As a consequence, when the subject is reproduced on a television screen, a sharp image can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 4786987
Abstract: A camera wherein a subject to be taken is pure-electronically still-photographed and recorded, and an image is reproduced by a television system and a printer. Resolution of the camera of this type is lower than that of the ordinary cameras. Accordingly, during the portrait photographing, it is necessary that the ratio of the face occupying in the taking background is made to be beyond a predetermined value. Then, when the taking distance is beyond a predetermined value, a warning is issued to call a photographer's attention to a close-in taking or automatically zoom-up.

  • Patent number: 4641198
Abstract: Photographic images are recorded by picking up a group of photographic images recorded in horizontal and vertical positions in substantially equally dimensioned frames to store in a storage medium video signals representative of the photographic images in the order of the group of photographic images. One of the many frame orientations, including the vertical and the horizontal positions, of the images recorded in the respective frames is selected. Then, out of the group of images, those which are in the selected orientation are selected. For the images in the vertical position, a magnification for forming a video signal which is smaller than that for the images in the horizontal position is set up. The selected photographic image is picked up to store a video signal representative of it in a store position of the storage medium assigned thereto. The selection, pickup and storage are performed on each of the photographic images which are in the selected frame orientation.
