  • Publication number: 20080121160
Abstract: A method and a building system for manufacturing a floating structure, for instance a watercraft, in which method the hull part for the floating structure is formed, it is provided with deck structures or similar support structures, and space units are prefabricated and installed between said deck structures or similar support structures. In the method such space units are manufactured, which comprise engineering units, which are provided at least with WC-equipment, as well as room units so that an engineering unit interconnected with a room unit forms a cabin unit. The engineering units of two adjacent cabin units are prefabricated and joined together to form an engineering unit pair and the thus accomplished engineering unit pair is transferred to and installed in its place on the floating structure.

  • Patent number: 6581336
Abstract: A waste water collection arrangement for combining the waste water discharge of several different plumbing fixtures includes a water receiving trap having a chamber in which water is received to provide a gas-tight seal. At least two inlet assemblies deliver waste water to the chamber and at least one outlet assembly discharges water from the chamber. The chamber has a lid part through which the inlet assemblies pass at least substantially perpendicular to the lid part. The inlet assemblies are mounted on the lid part so as to be movable as required to desired positions for connection to waste water conduits. The chamber is essentially isolated from the ambient air.

  • Patent number: 5319902
Abstract: A mass tower for medium or high consistency fiber suspension includes a vertically elongated circumferential side wall defining a space for receiving the fiber suspension. The bottom portion of the mass tower is filled with a material in an amount and of sufficient strength, preferably sand, gravel or concrete, to support the weight of the fiber suspension above the filling material. The filling material forms a bottom surface in contact with the fiber suspension and has an opening therein. Within the filling material is formed a flow channel in communication with the opening and extending through the filling material towards the side of the bottom portion for allowing the fiber suspension to be discharged from the mass tower. A method of manufacturing a mass tower and a method of converting an existing mass tower is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4877424
Abstract: Apparatus and method for degasifying a gas and solids containing flowable material includes an inlet for the flowable material and an outlet for gas separated from the flowable material. A fluidizing rotor has radially extending open blades and is disposed for driven rotation about its center for generating a degasifying centrifugal force and has a substantially disk-shaped radially extending back plate, the back plate has a front side and a rear side, a plurality of air passages defined in and through the back plate and through which gas separated from the flowable material travels from the front side to the rear side of the back plate for discharge through the outlet.
