  • Publication number: 20130112784
Abstract: A system for dispensing pulverulent coating material comprises a source of pulverulent coating material, a source of compressed gas, a device for movably supporting a nozzle, the nozzle coupled to the source of pulverulent material and providing an opening through which the pulverulent material is dispensed, a deflector supported by the device and spaced from the opening to aid in shaping a cloud of dispensed coating material, and a source of high-magnitude electrostatic potential coupled to impart electrostatic potential to the dispensed pulverulent material. The deflector includes at least one first passageway extending with a radial component of the deflector and communicating with the source of compressed gas to direct gas with a radial component into the cloud of dispensed coating material.

  • Publication number: 20130105453
Abstract: The welding contact tips presented herein include contoured inner bores that include a front inner bore section and a back inner bore section. In certain embodiments, the front inner bore section is approximately 0.3-0.6 inches long and includes an inner wall having a substantially constant inner diameter. The back inner bore section is configured to conform to the specific welding wire used with the welding contact tip. In particular, the back inner bore section includes an inner wall having an inner diameter that is substantially larger at an axial end of the welding contact tip than at an axial transition location where the front and back inner bore sections abut. As such, the welding contact area between the welding contact tip and the welding wire is enhanced in the front inner bore section, especially when the welding wire twists inside the contact tip and the welding torch.

  • Publication number: 20130109282
Abstract: Devices for removing a coating on a pipe are provided. In one aspect, a device for removing a coating on a pipe includes a sleeve, an arm coupled to the sleeve, and a wheel coupled to the arm. The sleeve includes a wall and an aperture defined through the wall. The wall defines a cavity in the sleeve and the sleeve is adapted to receive the pipe in the cavity. The device also includes a wheel coupled to the arm and adapted to extend through the aperture to engage the coating on the pipe.

  • Publication number: 20130104325
Abstract: A nonwoven wipe having a reversible sanitizer indicator for multiple uses and recharges is provided. The nonwoven wipe includes a cloth-like nonwoven fabric coated with a reversible color-changing ink formulation. During use, the nonwoven wipe is impregnated with a quaternary ammonium compound-based sanitizer. When the level of free quaternary ammonium compound falls below a threshold level, the color-changing ink formulation changes from a first color to a second color, indicating the need to recharge the wipe. When the nonwoven wipe is recharged with sanitizer solution, the color-changing ink formulation changes back to the first color.

  • Publication number: 20130098886
Abstract: Embodiments of a pendant associated with a multi-process welding power supply that allows a user to switch processes and reverse an output polarity while located remotely from a power supply unit are provided. Certain embodiments include a pendant with a wire spool and wire feeder drive circuitry that is configured to activate spooling during MIG welding. Control circuitry that may include processing circuitry and memory is provided. The control system may disable redundant controls on the power supply unit user interface when the power supply unit is connected to the pendant via a supply cable. Additionally, the control system may set the process, set the polarity, enable or disable a wire feed, and enable or disable gas flow according to inputs received via a user interface on either the power supply unit or the pendant.

  • Publication number: 20130037593
Abstract: A fastener driving tool includes a power source including a cylinder, a piston with a driver blade reciprocating in the cylinder, a tool nose associated with the power source for receiving the driver blade for driving fasteners fed into the nose, and a magazine housing a supply of the fasteners. A magazine feeder mechanism is associated with the magazine for sequentially feeding fasteners into the nose, and the feeder mechanism includes a reciprocating feed piston. A conduit is connected between a port in the cylinder and the feed mechanism for diverting combusted gas for activating the feed piston. The port is disposed in the cylinder a specified distance below a piston prefiring position, the distance being reflective of a delay of activating the feed piston until the drive piston finishes a driving stroke and begins a return to the prefiring position.
