    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device has stripe-shaped color filters and arranges the driver ICs on the top or the bottom side portion, and on the left or right side portion of the liquid crystal panel such that the liquid crystal display device has a single bank structure. Accordingly, a difference of a signal delay between the adjacent two odd and even data or gate lines is prevented. As a result, the brightness and the resolution are improved.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device that is capable of preventing a deterioration of liquid crystal generated at the outer area of an IPS mode TFT array. In the device, a plurality of data lines apply data signals to a thin film transistor array and a plurality of gate lines apply gate signals to the thin film transistor array. A plurality of gate links is extended from the gate lines into the outer area of the thin film transistor array. A plurality of common voltage lines is provided in such a manner to cross the gate links to apply a common voltage to the thin film transistor array. Accordingly, a deterioration of liquid crystal caused by the gate voltage at the outer area of the TFT array can be prevent to eliminate a generation of stain.

    Abstract: An upper substrate of a liquid crystal display device includes a color filter and a black matrix. A lower substrate includes a gate insulating layer formed of the substrate, a data line formed on the gate insulating layer, a light shielding pattern formed on the gate insulating layer and spaced apart from the data line, a passivation film formed on the data line and the light shielding pattern, a pixel electrode formed on the passivation film and overlapping a portion of the light shielding pattern. The light shielding pattern includes two light shielding lines formed parallel to and on either side of the data line. Such an arrangement reduces a parasitic capacitance between the pixel electrode and the data line, while maintaining a high aperture ratio.

The organic insulating material is removed from a partial area on the drain electrode, the gate pad the data pad, and the organic insulating material is exposed and developed to leave a portion of the organic insulating material at a peripheral portion of the gate and data pads. The gate insulating film, and inorganic and organic insulating materials are patterned to leave the organic insulating material at an area other than a partial area, thereby providing an inorganic protective film and an organic protective film.
