  • Publication number: 20030223899
Abstract: Disclosed is a scroll compressor coping properly with a volume variation of a compressing chamber due to an inflow of an incompressible fluid or the like by installing a radial moving apparatus enabling an orbiting scroll to move radially between an eccentric part of a crankshaft and the orbiting scroll so as to prevent the breakage of the scroll and improve a reliance of the compressor. The present invention includes a casing having a high pressure inside, a driving unit arranged at a lower side of the casing and connected to a crankshaft so as to generate a driving force, a compressing unit having an orbiting scroll connected to the crankshaft eccentrically and a fixed scroll so as forming a compressing chamber between the orbiting and fixed scrolls, and a compliance means for retreating the orbiting scroll in a radial direction when an incompressible material flows in the compressing chamber, the compliance means installed between the compressing unit and the crankshaft.

  • Publication number: 20030206813
Abstract: A vacuum preventing device of a scroll compressor includes: a chamber formed at one side of a fixed scroll and having a suction pressure hole, a middle pressure hole and a discharge pressure hole communicating with a suction pressure zone, a middle pressure zone and a discharge pressure zone, each formed at a certain portion of an inner circumferential surface; an open and shut member installed inside the chamber and selectively communicating the discharge pressure hole and the suction pressure hole by virtue of a gas pressure of the middle pressure zone and an elastic force of a spring; and a gas leakage preventing unit for preventing a gas leakage in a normal operation by reducing a clearance between an inner wall of the chamber positioned at the side of the discharge pressure hole and the open and shut member.

  • Publication number: 20030070712
Abstract: A discharge valve assembly of fluid machinery is provided. The discharge valve assembly of fluid machinery includes a valve housing connected to a discharge side of a compression chamber, forming a valve holding space for holding a valve, forming a discharge hole on one side of the valve holding space, forming a back current hole in the other side of the valve holding space to be separated from the discharge hole, and fixedly installed in a discharge chamber, and a sliding valve positioned between the discharge side of the compression chamber and the discharge hole of the valve housing so as to open and close the discharge hole while sliding according to the pressure of the compression chamber and the pressure of the discharge chamber and inserted into the valve holding space to slide. The sliding valve completely opens the discharge side of the compression chamber and the discharge hole of the valve housing when compressed refrigerant gas is discharged.

  • Publication number: 20030039570
Abstract: A variable quantity control apparatus for a variable radius type scroll compressor comprises: a rotary shaft coupled to an orbiting scroll for transmitting a rotating force of a driving motor to the orbiting scroll; and an eccentric bushing coupled to a driving pin part of the rotary shaft for transmitting the rotating force of the driving motor and at the same time, for restraining a recession amount of the orbiting scroll, whereby manufacturing cost can be reduced because an additional stopper member can be excluded and the number of components and the number of assembling processes are reduced, and the recession of the eccentric bushing (or the orbiting scroll) can be stably restrained by the surface contacting of a cut surface of the rotary shaft and stopping surfaces of the eccentric bushing.

  • Publication number: 20030039569
Abstract: In a scroll compressor, in order to provide a structure of a driving pin for a scroll compressor which is capable of transmitting a rotational force by being combined with a rotating scroll, in a scroll compressor comprising a fixed scroll having a wrap, a rotating scroll having a wrap engaged with the wrap of the fixed scroll and performing a rotational motion in a radial direction of the rotational axis of a driving device, a driving pin eccentrically formed at the rotational axis of the driving device and inserted into a boss of the rotating scroll and a bush member interposed between the boss of the rotating scroll and the driving pin, the driving pin has a length shorter than a length of the bush member. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent a damage of a driving pin due to a stress concentration by reducing a bending moment of the driving pin.

  • Publication number: 20020187063
Abstract: In a rotation preventive device for a scroll compressor, by forming a rotation preventive member for preventing a rotation of an orbiting scroll between a frame and an orbiting scroll or a fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll as a rectangular shape performable a sliding motion in a radial direction, it is possible to fabricate the rotation preventive member as small and light weight, accordingly the cost of materials can be reduced. In addition, by reducing abrasion between each key and each key groove, a stability of the orbiting scroll can be maintained, and by preventing a leakage of gas from happening, a reliability and an efficiency of a compressor can be improved and a noise of the compressor can be decreased.
