The boost mode can operate the bridge switches in a boost current control mode when the output voltage exceeds the input voltage. The buck-boost transition mode can operate the bridge switches in a peak buck-boost current control mode that minimizes a minimum duty cycle (having a minimum “on” duty time and a minimum “off” duty time) when the output voltage is approximately equal to the input voltage during a transition from at least one of the current control buck mode to the current control boost mode or from the current control boost mode to the current control buck mode.

The method executes an electromagnetic field solver on a first and second waveguide ports and the lumped ports and determines a scaling factor between a first power level configured to excite the first and/or second waveguide ports and a second power level configured to excite the lumped ports. The electromagnetic field solver runs on the first and second waveguide and lumped ports, producing a first output data and the method produces a scattering parameter (S-parameter) model for the vehicle from the first output data that includes a plurality of S-parameter ports.
